The Pets In the Classroom grant is available to offset the cost of a classroom pet. There will still be some out-of-pocket costs associated with these grants! Please research what costs may be associated with the pet of your choice and review our grant coupon samples before deciding what grant you wish to apply for!

Many classroom pets are happy to be back at school. Is your pet back in the classroom? If not, when?

"My kids had such a great year with Shelby the Turtle. I teach learning support for second grade, this is the age where kids don't want to go to the special ed. room. However this year as the only second grade teacher with a pet, everyone wanted to come to my room. Every morning there was a constant flow of kids dropping by on their way to class just to say hi to Shelby. That little turtle had the power to make my students proud to be in my room. When students are comfortable in their surroundings they learn more. Thank you so much for making this program available to classrooms. These pets will be life long memories for my students." ~ Robin Mattes

Results include: decreased anxiety; an increase in empathy/compassion, social skills, leadership, student engagement, responsibility, and self-esteem; and improvements in academics and attendance. Through classroom pets, teachers can help their students grow in profound ways! Learn more....
