Updated Feedback on this Company from May 2015 How 15 months can change your perception of a company? Petersen Dean is interested in getting your business - after that they are good at showing you the shaft. I tried adding additional panels to my roof and instead of showing some loyalty they jacked up my price to 1.5 times of the original. Mind you this time around there was no permit needed, no inverter, no wiring to the panel etc. To add insult to injury, 4 calls to their office and no 'decision maker' has yet called me back. When they wanted a review a year back, they were all over me like a swarm of flies. Go to the more professional, well funded companies that will back you for your loyalty. I have second thoughts on the gloating review I originally gave them. Thank you for teaching me a lesson Petersen Dean. Original feedback from Jan 2014 I had Petersen Dean install solar panels on my roof - job was completed two days back. Right from the sales person (Tom) to the project manager (Gwen) to the coordinator (Chris) and the installers (don't remember the names of the two guys who installed the panels) and the Electrician (Jeremy) they were very professional and efficient throughout the process. After doing my due diligence on solar panels and talking to numerous companies, I decided to go with Petersen Dean as they came highly recommended by a friend. To top it off, they had the best prices in town and a no-frills, no-nonsense sales approach. Tom was extremely straight forward and very professional about letting me know what I should expect and the challenges if any. After talking to three other solar companies I was not ready to listen to any other creative math on "potential savings" - and Tom did not waste my time with any of that nonsense. In hindsight I should not have wasted my time talking to the other companies. Gwen was the primary project manager and Chris the coordinator. They kept me abreast on all stages of the process all the way from the design phase to securing permits from the city, coordinating with PGE etc. Albeit I would have liked things to have been completed earlier (end-to-end process took almost 3 months), Gwen took the extra effort to keep me in the loop almost on a weekly basis. With my goal to get this completed by the end of the year (for tax reasons) I was a little skeptical as we approached the end of November. But within a few days after, the installers were on my roof (can't remember their names), got all the panels installed in two days flat and ensured that the end job was to the best of my satisfaction. Lastly the electrician (Jeremy) was again super professional and went out of his way to ensure our satisfaction. He worked with the city inspectors to get the necessary panel labeling and inspection done in time. I understand why these guys came highly recommended - I would strongly recommend them to anyone planning to install a panel. But keep in mind that the entire process is not a 2-3 week install like some of the other companies might promise you - this is a 2-3 month process - panel install itself take 2-3 days at most.

For me, great solar panels is synonymous with Dean Petersen. I say that because I bought some solar panels from him and not only did he ensure that I got the besy quality, but the level of customer service I received was among the best I had ever gotten in a while. They say that good help is hard to find, but these guys proved that there is still hope out there.

*EXCELLENT* Service and Product. I hired Petersen Dean Solar recently for a 9.5 kWh system for a new home. Every person I interacted with was extremely professional, prompt and knowledgeable. Installing solar is a lengthy process especially when dealing with rebates. But Petersen Dean Solar did an excellent job guiding me through the process. From the initial quote with Bryce, to the rebate processing with Carrie, the project planning with Sarah, and the permit sign off with Rick. it could not have been a more positive experience. The install crew was great, and worked very late in the day to finish the install in a single day. They cleaned up their trash, installed the panels and inverters very professionally. I take any opportunity to recommend Petersen Dean Solar.

I've been with Petersen Dean now for an entire year so with a year's worth of bills I wanted to provide an update on my savings. They calculated my savings for me and for the year I saved $375. My price of power is fixed for about 20 years so I expect my savings to only increase over time. Petersen Dean has been easy to work with and the system has had no problems - I'm a very satisfied customer. I've recommended them to a few friends who have both become customers, and they are equally satisfied.

Just received my PG&E bill of $14.90 after installing solar with Petersen Dean. I am thrilled! Petersen Dean is an amazing company to work with: professional, attentive, and accommodating from start to finish. I was continuously kept informed of progress, needed changes, delays, etc. during the entire process. The quality of their work is exceptional, their integrity is without question. I highly recommend Petersen Dean to anyone considering going solar. I'm so glad I did!

We recently experienced a leak in our roof that had been ongoing for quite a while, unbeknownst to us. We only became aware of the problem following a termite inspection we had to accomplish for the refinance of our home. The plywood had been compromised by water which resulted in a portion of our roof being dry rotted. To Peterson Dean Roofing's credit, they sent out one of their veteran and seasoned roofers, if not, the best roofer. He was able to quickly pinpoint the source of the leak and then methodically develop a plan of action to repair just that portion of the roof without having to tear the entire section of roof apart. In as little as just a few hours he completely repaired our roof, cleaned up, and briefed me on the cause and method of repair. I highly recommend Peterson Dean Roofing for any new roofing or repairs and/or photo voltaic solar panel installation. Their prices and workmanship are remarkably competitive and professional. Thanks for the great work!

I am the original owner of a 25 year old home and I was in need of a new roof. Since this is not an inexpensive purchase, I was sure to be diligent so that I could make an informative decision that I was comfortable with. After some research, I decided on three companies to contact for a quote, one being Peterson Dean. After an easy-to-fill-out request online, I was contacted by John Curnow from Peterson Dean who set up an appointment to come to my house. While talking with John on the phone, I mentioned that I may also be interested in adding solar panels. I told John that I had spoken with a representative from another company and had already received a quote from them. The day of my appointment, John showed up on time and he was prepared with not only prices for the different types of roofs I was interested in but also with various quotes for adding solar to my new roof. John was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions. After my appointment, I told John that I had to consider my options and that I would get back to him. Unlike the other people I had spoken with, there was no pressure to make a hurried decision. I called John back in a couple of days and agreed to both the roof and installation of solar. The work started sooner than expected and finished on time. Both the roof and solar installers were very professional. I appreciated the fact that they were at my house ready to work when they said they would be and they took the time to clean up after they left. I am very pleased with my decision to choose Peterson Dean. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a roof and/or solar.
