This is a fascinating read! We the consumer have way more power than we realise to push company's to create greener cleaner solutions!

For us in South Africa the number of "aspirationals" in Asia is a massive plus as we try and #saveourrhino When attitudes change behaviour changes to.

Interesting....

It would also be good to know who funded the study. You know to rule out any bias :)

Finally...

Google+ for iOS got an update!
I'm very happy to see that the latest version of the Google+ for iOS app is now live in the Apple App Store. It looks beautiful on the iPhone 6 and 6+, supports share extensions in iOS 8, allows posts with polls to look gorgeous, and has many performance improvements (and bug fixes, too).

You can grab the latest version of the app via iTunes, the App Store, or this link:

In amongst all the bad news surrounding these beautiful creatures, here is a story that warms the heart. #saveourrhinos
October 30, 2014. Titilei, a robust white rhino living on Lewa delivered her third calf about a month ago much to delight of the entire Conservancy. While there is nothing extraordinary about a southern white rhino reproducing, according to our resident vet Dr. Matthew Mutinda, Titilei's latest ...

This is a fascinating graph. If you have a business that is dependent on Microsoft I would seriously consider a strategy to break that dependence.

My prediction: in the not too distant future people will ask: "What's a PC?" Or "What's Windows?" And you will hear people say "Remember when we used Outlook / Word / Excel"

If you want the context of this slide check out this presentation by Benedict Evans: "How Mobile is Enabling Tech to Outgrow the Tech Industry"

+Casper Labuschagne Look touch screens can never be used for heavy productivity and that's where the PC will forever rain supreme along with gaming. Those 2 markets along are enough to keep windows going, along with the surface tablets which in my opinion are the only half ok tablet for any light productivity.

The damage done to our wildlife heritage by the trophy hunting industry is incalculable.  Groenewald is not an exception to the general PH community; just one of the worst of a bad bunch.

This is insightful! I think news monopoly ‪#disruption is essential and that normal people on the street can play a dramatic role in broadcasting events live and in the process create a more rounded out picture than the official narrative that is often presented.

I like to think about this as the age of transparency. In this age it's impossible to hide the truth.
In 2011, journalist Bruno Torturra covered a protest in São Paulo which turned ugly. His experience of being teargassed had a profound effect on the way he thought about his work, and he quit his job to focus on broadcasting raw, unedited experiences online. In this fascinating talk, he shares some of the ways in which he's experimented with livestreaming on the web, and how in the process he has helped to create a very modern media network.

Today we’re unwrapping the best holiday gift we could’ve imagined: the first real build of our self-driving vehicle prototype.

The vehicle we unveiled in May (goo.gl/qDUtgq) was an early mockup—it didn’t even have real headlights! Since then, we’ve been working on different prototypes-of-prototypes, each designed to test different systems of a self-driving car—for example, the typical “car” parts like steering and braking, as well as the “self-driving” parts like the computer and sensors. We’ve now put all those systems together in this fully functional vehicle—our first complete prototype for fully autonomous driving.

We’re going to be spending the holidays zipping around our test track, and we hope to see you on the streets of Northern California in the new year.  Our safety drivers will continue to oversee the vehicle for a while longer, using temporary manual controls as needed while we continue to test and learn.  Happy holidays!

Back in July as part of The Success Academy's business mentorship programme I presented a session entitled "The Most Important Skills Your Business Will Need in the Next 5 Years" (http://thesuccessacademy.co.za/important-skills-business-will-need/)

Here is some more info on the topic. If you are employed or have a business you simply have to start thinking real hard about developing or acquiring these skills.

The one concept that I think is super important is outlined in this piece: "Create experiential learning centers in your organization"

So finally got round to watching #Virunga (https:/virungamovie.com) this evening. Deeply moving.

We all individually, no matter where we live, need to draw a line in the sand and do our individual part to #saveourplanet

This is not a dress rehearsal

I have closely followed the wearable trend. But it would seem this is going to be eclipsed shortly by implantable technology.

On this list the one that interests me the most - Smart dust.

This is a fascinating read!
