A brand new year and era gives us cause to expect something new and exciting from magazines to be rustled up on the fashion and beauty front. Out with the old and in with the new. No more same same from the past five years. Readers want something jumping out of the barriers at them with unlimited sources of information to capture, stimulate and tantalise their imagination.

Question:

So, just how does a new kid on the block like Zipett Magazine go about doing this? The words ‘brand new’ are sitting up there in the first sentence, now there’s a start at least. Exciting new products and articles – yes, well, most magazines comply with that agenda of requirements for success. But how is Zipett Magazine going to make feet in Manolo Blahniks and Jimmy Choo shoes race to newsstands and snatch up a copy?

Zipett’s mastermind, Peter Trainer, went fishing for ideas for what his magazine required to put it at the forefront of a new and exciting way to connect with the reader. To get personal: to find out what it is that inspires the designers and the makers of the products that make us feel like a million dollars, tick. In other words, Zipett is going to get the goss’ from the designers of fashion, their models and from the brains behind those delectable products that we lust for.

Ingenuity proffered Peter a group of talented people in their past and present fields. Photographers, hair aficionado gurus, make-up artists and fashionistas with backgrounds in fashion design accompanied with the ‘Lois Lanes’ of the ‘Y’ generation, those of whom are internet savvy and respectable research hounds. Peter was proffered these people - and he snapped them up.

We know how talented designers, models and photographers are. These gifted people who seemingly live in another world that appears surreal to the rest of us, will, with the right amount of encouragement from the right sources, reveal all. Zipett is going to take you there for the interviews and photo shoots to let you know, when, where and why they were the chosen ones; furthermore, the all important how of their success stories will be revealed.

As with Paul and John, the aforementioned people enlist the help of talented friends in the industry. Without these craft masters, photographers and their muses would never be able to scale to the heights they have ascended to within the industry. Attention to detail that make-up artists and hair stylists aspire to achieve by working long and demanding hours to produce piquant results from their specialized talents, is an important component present in all these professionals from a myriad of crafts. This is the magical extract of the fashion and beauty industry and these combined talents are acknowledged as the all important essence that drives the fashion and beauty machine.

Serendipity and kismet have a lot to do with what is in store for us all. Events happen, incidents occur and we are often flabbergasted by events that change our lives and turn our world upside down.
