If you want a more durable version, you can make a pretty decent headset on a laser cutter out of mdf.

I started by making that one. All those screws make it heavy (though funky). After 20 people tried it I realised everyone, from kids to grandparents adjusted the lenses to the same place, so I fixed it there. Admittedly people who normally wear strong glasses need more adjustable ones. 
+Peter Strømberg that was mostly our finding too. Most people we tried with are happy with the lens setup, and having no movable parts makes the design so much simpler.
