Some interesting food for thought.
Right now, I'm chewing over the final edits on a rather political book. And I think, as it's a near future setting, I should jot down some axioms about politics ... We're living in an era of increasing automation. And it's trivially clear that the adoption of automation privileges capital over ...

When examining the chain of events that led up to an airplane accident, the accident report looks at every step in the chain of decisions that led up to it. We rarely do so for car accidents -- but this PSA (masterfully done) and this article suggest why we should.

This is really one of the best-made PSA's I've ever seen. It's terrifying.
Public-safety campaigns don't often break through our shell of indifference. This one, from New Zealand, broke through the shell for me.

I'm undecided about the droid widget in the latest beta. At first I didn't like it, but it's beginning to grow on me. What do you think?

In my opinion it looks like one of the pigs in Angr Bird. The old widget was better. And I miss relevant information like time to bed and alarm. I think both was displayed with according symbols.

You wouldn't believe this is McDonald's food. I may have posted a while ago about The Corner McCafe, where McDonalds is trying to reinvent itself as a healthy alternative. Today I was walking past, and hungry, and decided to indulge my curiosity. The food is decent, tasty and nothing about it strikes me as being unhealthy.

No, not unhealthy.  It's a selection of all their salads, plus some chicken.

Try getting the COAL out of the coalition. Killing off a vital industry and all because this fledgling renewable energy  industry cannot (and would not due to that being below their station) BRIBE the incumbent Feral (Spelt correctly) government. The big players have the bribes to the Libs down pat. Probably wrote Tony Abbott's speech about how coal is good too. Cough cough.

Award winning gelato, but with every award comes huge crowds and long queues. Great if you don't mind queueing, but if you do there are other quality places not too far away.
