Today marks one year since I started my wellness journey. I look back at some of the lessons learned over the year and celebrate the fact that I have lost 28% of my total body weight over the last year even though I am up 2.2 pounds from last week.

This week I was down another 1.7 pounds to 244.7. I still have not gotten back to where I was at my low on week 45, but I’m happy with continued progress in the right direction.

Last week was week 50 on my wellness journey. Down 2.5 pounds, but not quite back to my low. I'm taking on a number of fitness challenges as a result of attending Advance. Read more about it in my post and join me at the next one in Feb.

This week I was up 2 pounds and I have been in the same general range for the last 10 weeks. 10 weeks of treading water, but I'm keeping at it with a renewed focus this week.

Due to being away and then not having internet for a few days, I never posted my weight loss update for last week. Here is the summary for the last two weeks and both posts are available.

Two weeks ago I gained 8.1 pounds. I don't really know why and the only thing I can point to is that I started a new exercise routine that wasn't working out.

Last week, I went on a camping trip with my girls and decided to just take a mental break. I also took a break from exercise altogether. I lost 2.6 pounds this past week and feel revitalized for this week. I'm still in the 240's, so I have spent the last 10 weeks hovering in the same range. I have 4 weeks left to reach my goal of 240 in a year.

This week's weigh-in was exactly the same as last week. After 12.3 pounds over the previous 2 weeks though, I was bound to have this happen.

This week I rocked it - I ran a 10K for the first time in my life. I got back in the gym for some heavy lifting, and I finished the week down 7.7 pounds passing the century mark with 101.8 total pounds lost. I'm now only 1.4 pounds away from the goal I set when I began...

Emily made some fabulous looking Chocolate Macarons this week, but I chose not to try them. Everyone said they were great! I got things back on track this week and lost 4.6 pounds - over half of what I gained last week! I'm going to keep avoiding sweet treats for 9.1 more pounds. I did have a lot of fruit though :)

I suffered a big setback this week gaining 9 pounds in one week. Sugar was the leading cause and I hope that the lessons learned will help me regroup and get back on track to my goals next week. I'm giving up sweets (not all added sugars - just ice cream, cakes, donuts, etc.) until I reach my goal of 240 pounds.

This week I took on a 'no added sugars' challenge for 5 days. It helped me reach a new low of 244.7 for a total of 98.5 pounds lost since I began. I'm only 4.7 pounds away from my original goal of 240.
