That's another way of doing things, AT&T is changing the logo on the 4G connection to 5G and voila easy peasy 5G connection without the hassle and investments for new hardware, upgrades, ....

Too bad its totally fake, would like to say customers will not be fooled but I'm afraid a lot of them will and completely fall for it

Surprise, surprise ... We didn't have to wait long the first official complaints of GDPR breaching have been filled , let's wait how the commission responds and when.
Facebook & Google (Android) are the "lucky" winners

Max Schrems and his non-profit organisation None Of Your Business filed four complaints under the General Data Protection Regulation — one against Facebook, one each against its subsidiaries Instagram and WhatsApp, and another against Google’s Android.

GDPR is active as of today, I'm a strong believer in good privacy but the EU laws around it not only have conflicts with other laws on data retention, etc ... but more drastic are they also not putting a lid on progress ?

Check out this interesting view that GDPR is blocking for things like AI, Machine Learning & Big Data. Just the topics where most tech people think the future lies.

Any GDPR experts that can comment on this ?

This is not in some 1star cheapo hotel but in 5star hotels in China like the Kempinski, Shangri-La and Sheraton.

PS. You can feel a bit better, as management apologized
