Interesting read on the design of the new Google logo and identity.
At Google we say, “Focus on the user and all else will follow.” With this in mind, we seek to design experiences that inspire and enlighten our users.

Project Fi  -

Has anyone who signed up for Fi have experience using it overseas?

I'm currently on T-Mobile prepaid (so no international data roaming) and considering activating Fi service for some international travel because I think it will be easier than trying to get local SIMs. I'll be in a few different countries and don't want to deal with local SIM changes each time. Fi seems like a reasonable solution but I'm wondering if anyone has had a chance to use it overseas and how the service was.

I'm tempted to get at least one line with Fi. Try it out.

Lovely welcome messages from the Project Fi app during my recent trip to Europe. Speeds were considerably slower, but I had a reliable connection in every country.

Project Fi service was great! Unfortunately, I think I'm going back to my prepaid T-Mobile plan. At $30/month all in T-Mobile is just a much better deal for me. I stream a lot of music so their Music Freedom option in the plan is really beneficial.

interesting that they charge for WiFi calling.  I would think WiFi is WiFi and it wouldn't take up any additional cost for it.

OMG Finally! Group MMS!

Hi everyone,

The launch of Hangouts 4.0 on Android is going to be an amazing one for Google Voice users.

Being able to use group SMS has been a top feature request for Google Voice users for years, and we're happy to announce the first part of this feature is launching shortly across Hangouts, enabling you to receive and reply to group SMS messages from your Google Voice number, if you've integrated Google Voice messaging with Hangouts. You'll be able to receive and reply to group SMS messages not only in Hangouts on Android, but also in Hangouts on the web and iOS as well. Starting a new group MMS (compose) isn't part of today's launch but we're working to bring it to our users in a future release.

In order to roll this out we need to wait for Google Hangouts 4.0 on Android to be fully released to everyone. After that's happened we'll turn on this feature across Android, web and iOS. I know many of you are eagerly awaiting this launch -- don't worry if you get the latest Hangouts 4.0 and this hasn't started working yet, it's coming within days!

Went here with a few friends to celebrate one of their birthday's. The menu has a lot of variety so everyone can find something they want. Everyone's food was good. Our waitress was very friendly and polite. We sat and talked for a while and never felt rushed. On the way out I noticed gigantic cakes in the display case. They looked amazing and I kinda regret not ordering a slice. I'm saving room for a slice of carrot cake next time.

Great store with unique selections. A lot of their products are made locally and are fresh. Prepared foods are great alternative to take out. It can be a bit on the pricier side but items are high quality. Their "walk though" store layout is neat, but can be confusing if you're looking for just a few specific items.

The food here was good. I can't really tell if they're trying to be a restaurant or a club though.

I love the rainbow stairs! The store is always clean and in order. Their clothes are good and very reasonably priced. Some of the floors have a bit of a confusing layout, but overall things are organized well. Registers on each floor make checkout a little easier.

This place is tiny and very cramped inside. The food is delicious though. My husband had the vegetarian burger. I had the Falafel wrap. Both were fresh and very flavorful. Service was good.

Really great local sandwich shop! The food here is great and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Located just towards the edge of the downtown core it is a little more out of the way, but quieter too.

Good Turkish food. The falafal here is my favorite. A bit pricy for falafal though.
