I'm offering an iBooks Author training session for faculty at the University of Portland. Here's two videos that demonstrate interactivity of iBA widgets and how easy it is to input content into your iBook.

eBook creation on a Chromebook?

I’ve done many iBook projects using iBooks Author with distribution via iTunes. I have a school client that is Chromebook-based who would like to publish eBooks.

Anyone know what kind of eBook creating options there are for designing on a Chromebook?
What devices can view the resulting eBooks?
How are they distributed?
Are they text only or can they be more media rich?

I just heard about Atavist and took if for a quick test. It looks like a great web-based creation tool that can output to all the major ebook providers. As well as provide elegant content on the web. Anyone else have any experience with it?

Life’s become an “open-book” test. So what does that mean for schools? I answer that question in my "Ed Tech Summit" keynote.
