I feel that I spent a large part of my life being trained to think that I could bend my head around any problem through dispassionate reason alone. It wasn't intentional on anyone's part, that was just the implied context of everything else: the background noise of my life. I also feel it left me with no coping strategy for when I couldn't bend my head around a problem through dispassionate reason alone.

This review of a children's animated film in the all-caps voice of a fictional character touches on similar themes, because the internet.
Hulk loves this coming-of-age masterpiece.

If you see the value of listening to people, here are some people to listen to.

In the first "X-men" movie, how the heck did Magneto know that Rogue could absorb mutant powers?

This has been another episode of "things that occur to you for no damn reason in the middle of the afternoon".

This is more than a little heartless.
Apple is known for being secretive and picky about who works on its popular devices, but now, union officials say, that thinking also applies to the construction workers pouring the concrete for the tech giant’s new offices. Several construction workers who were hired to build the exterior of Apple’s new campus in Cupertino were ordered to leave the site in January due to prior felony convictions, several union officials and workers told The Chr...

Here is another problem with e-books: when you've bought one and you discover it's horrible you can't throw it across the room in disgust.

There are plenty of rational reasons to despise the current government in Canada, but for sheer visceral hatred nothing quite tops their addiction to television advertising.
Finance Minister Joe Oliver has not yet announced a budget date

Actually, I think Harper's addiction to TV "diss"ing of his opponents tops everything. Despite his effectiveness where he chooses to spend his energy and our money, I have little respect for such a dispassionate leader. Ken
