A stupid gag but it made me laugh nonetheless.

A welcome development especially if you upload photos to Drive and backup from mobile.

Sometimes, we use photos for practical purposes, like planning a wedding, remodeling a kitchen, or capturing meeting notes from a whiteboard. And, while you snap all kinds of pics, your experience across Google should be seamless and consistent. Starting today, the photos and videos you keep in Google+ Photos will also be available in Google Drive.

These are great wee info graphic type vids. The T-rex at the Miley Cyrus gig is a fun image.

Great video of a place I'd love to visit sometime. Neat soundtrack too.
Japan can be both traditional and effortlessly modern, but most of all it's unique. The chaos and quirks and creativity and energy of Tokyo all combine to create a city filled with things that exist nowhere else. Tokyo is an original and this video by Takuya Hosogane does a fantastic job capturing that.

Only possible outcome really.
There’s no cause so disreputable it cannot find adherents. And, failing that, apologists. Take, for instance, the apparently simple case of a powerful man – powerful in status more than… Continue reading

The reason it went to the DG is because nobody else wanted to touch it (would you?) and the buck has to stop somewhere.

There is, realistically, no other way to handle workplace violence than dismissal. The event itself happened and couldn't be hidden away, too many people had seen. But it's how you handle it that matters. Clarkson has successfully sown doubt among the public that he'd done anything wrong at all (why else would he be the one to report it, etc?), and he's made himself to be the "right thing doing" guy which isn't how it would look if it had come out via a leak or whatever.

Whether it will end up as an assault charge is a question for the police not the BBC and that was always the case.

This is pretty sweet for someone's hobby. Not sure about the soundtrack but hey.
I'm not a huge anime guy (I leave that to our buddy Mick), but even I have to admit that this is pretty damn awesome. We've written before about animator Paul Johnson (YouTube user OtaKing77077) and his anime-style Star Wars TIE Fighter fan film, but what we covered a couple of years ago was only a short segment of the finished product. Johnson animated this on the weekends for the past four years, and he's finally completed the short n...

What could possibly go wrong?
In the 1960s and 1970s, the United States attempted to improve the image of nuclear bombs by using them for public works. This went about as poorly as you'd suspect.

I continue to be impressed by the Hive app. Brave of them to give direct access to their feature request log from within the mobile app.

Oops sorry +Gavin Gordon, didn't see your comment. There's a wireless thermostat which talks to the boiler. Then there's a small box that plugs into the broadband router which Web enables it.

Day one with Hive heating control. Install was straightforward, the app is great. Looking forward to using it.

There's great potential here I think in a quantified self sort of way. The website has basic stats on energy use but it could be taken much further.
Developed in-house, the Hive Active Heating Kit allows you greater flexibility and control of your heating and hot water from our award winning app and web dashboard.

There's a wireless thermostat and there's a hub that plugs into the router. I'm happy enough with that cause the thermostat will work whatever.

He's not banned from all tv forever though has he, we'll all still be able to watch him elsewhere, just not on the BBC so I don't suppose he's that devastated.

BBC iPlayer is a capable streaming service, but until now there's been little incentive to create an account. Setting up a BBC iD lets you "favourite" sh

Great lunch if a bit pricey. Lovely coffee. Food shop looks great. (note: there's no child menu specifically but half portions of the normal menu)

A great family resort with good facilities. We only ate in the Terrace bar and the food there was excellent.

Stayed here for one night. The room was clean and comfortable if a bit dated and worn. The original part of the hotel comprising the dining room and bar had a bit more character. The service overall was good.
