Peter Hurley began his career in front of the camera – while training for the Olympics in sailing he was spotted and modeled in campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch and Ralph Lauren. Peter later moved behind the camera, and quickly built up a powerful client list. Thanks to his eye, his technique, and an engaging personality that makes people instantly comfortable, Peter brings out the very best of everyone he photographs.
Since opening his studios in New York and Los Angeles, he has specialized in advertising and commercial work, including portraiture, fashion, beauty, editorial, headshots, events and corporate photography. He has worked with dozens of companies including Levi’s, Reebok, DKNY, Johnnie Walker, and shot hundreds of talented actors, models and authors. Well-known in the entertainment and advertising industries, Peter shot the cast and crew of “Lost” as it wrapped up its final season.
As Peter continues on his photographic journey he began teaching a workshop called "The Headshot Intensive" and released "The Art Behind The Headshot," a video tutorial documenting his style in headshot photography. Produced by fstoppers.com it's available there and at www.peterhurley.com/dvd.
