Umm, some white mass murders are called terrorists.  The Oklahoma city bombers for instance.  We call people terrorists when they at least have the belief that their acts are part of a larger (at least somewhat plausible) pattern of attacks.  While calling someone a thug is certainly racially colored most people only apply it when the violence is motivated by (direct) monetary gain or street cred/intimidation.  Most white shooters WHO MAKE THE NEWS are spree killers who we usually describe as mentally ill.
