I've always assumed, SF has the highest per-capita restaurants in the nation.  Now Trulia shows the data to back this up.

Introduction
I am 50% geek and 50% adventurer, so I oscillate between hunkering down and doing cool things at work (I currently product manage Google Earth) or getting outdoors, traveling the world, or just exploring. I have been to over 60 countries, and I hope to visit many more before I die!

I love trying to figure out how things work, whether that means taking apart everything I own to figure out how it works, or trying to figure out how to solve the world's problems. I'm a strong environmentalist, a biking advocate, and a political junkie. I spend way too much time reading news.

Commis has all the elements I love in a restaurant: an inventive menu, an open kitchen, a prix fixe menu, and very yummy food.

Chow is a great neighborhood place. Good for simple pastas and such. Their ginger cake with pumpkin ice-cream is amazing!

This place reminds me of a Vegas diner. The atmosphere is terrible: loud and impersonal. The wait staff seemed very detatched, like they were going through the motions. We were seated 1/2 hr late, and then our food took forever. They gave us an extra appetizer to compensate, but we didn't really want more food. The food was ok, but my steak was undercooked (rare) and over-salted. Some of the food was quite good, but overall not good enough to match the steep prices ($31 for my entree.) There are many great restaurants in San Francisco, you can give this one a miss.

Great place for a late evening quick dinner. Reasonably priced, decent food. Although if I didn't live 5 min from here, I would never visit.
