Heather Majaury: Yep you are overbooking yourself. Be realistic or be zen and accept that everyday you will move things to another day. But stop beating yourself up. Trust me from a crazy scheduler who had to suffer severe burn out to get that. I think its better to be a striver and fail than to live safe and regret.
Peter Benes: Heather, it seems like the best combination is a little stress and a little zen. I'm happiest when I'm moving things forward, even baby steps, while I'm compassionate with myself. I'm seeing there are a couple activities that make a huge difference, like not letting things get piled up, literally and figuratively.
Heather Majaury: So true.....I have a bigger challenge which is to lose about 30 to 40 lbs before I open this show. Being an academic and and playwright has encroached upon my performers body in huge ways. Its not that I was ever a skinny woman but these last few years. So I am having to take baby steps show patience and kindness yet have my eyes on the goal down the road. Its a balance I am not always achieving
