Film VS Digital. Digital VS Film. Which is which?

One of these images is a 35mm scan of Kodak Portra 400. The other is a digital image with the VSCO Portra 400 preset applied.

Think you can tell the difference?

The Trench Run IV

Here's another composite image created from my archive of HK architecture shots. This one took about 4 hours all up in photoshop, painstakingly edited at 1:1 with the wacom.

Have a great weekend all!

Chain Reaction

On the outskirts of Tokyo, lies the industrial port of Keihin Industrial District, where a handful of man made islands house these gigantic chemical factories.
Looking at these monsters up close absolutely blew me away. Some of the structures look like they were designed by H.R. Geiger, or are straight out of Blade Runner.

I absolutely loved my time sneaking around these places, definitly not a tourist location, and probably most peoples definition of 'Hell'.
Plenty more of these images to come!

The beautiful fishing village of Manarola, Cinque Terre

The Cinque Terre is a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera. It is in the Liguria region of Italy, to the west of the city of La Spezia. "The Five Lands" is composed of five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Over the centuries, people have carefully built terraces on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea. Part of its charm is the lack of visible corporate development. Paths, trains and boats connect the villages, and cars cannot reach them from the outside.

It's always great to see your images reaching outside the realm of the internet, be it as a physical print hung in a gallery or as a feature in a publication.

Pleased to annouce that I scored the front cover for this month's 'Travel + Leisure' magazine for the Latin American market.

I hope this inspires many more people to catch the travel bug and explore such awesome destinations such as Kyoto in Japan.

Hey guys, lots of new updates today.

Firstly, I've put together a new series of images from Japan of the Industrial zone in Kawasaki where I spent 3 nights photographing the otherworldly chemical plants and factories. I'll be posting more of these images on Facebook over the coming days, but in the meantime you can check out some of the completed images at the link below.

Also on the website, are a few new wallpapers to deck out your Apple or Android smartphone with:

And finally, be sure to check out my portfolio, where I've added new images available for prints and canvas:

Matsumoto Castle at Twilight

During my trip to Nagano, I stopped over in the small city of Matsumoto to check out one of Japan's most historic castles.

Despite being Winter, most of the snow had unfortunately disappeared and the rain and windy cold made this shoot less than pleasurable. However, you take what you can get!
