Hey guys, here's a short magazine interview I've put up on my blog. It ended up not getting published boo so rather than let it go to waste I'm posting it myself.

Side note: I really need some new headshots!

I recently posted an image The Veins of Bangkok depicting the cities skyline at night with it's overlapping bright highways.

To shoot that image, I started taking shots every 5 minutes for about 45 minutes before the sun went down and then a few long exposures at night (without moving the camera).

This image is a merge of the first late afternoon shot, mixed with a long exposure of the bright highways long after dark.

Overall, I prefer the night shots for more visual impact, but wanted to share with you this alternate version.

Angkor Surprise

The iconic temple of Angkor Wat at sunrise.
Siem Reap, Cambodia

I knew exactly what I was in for when making the trek out at 2am for a prime position along the lake in front of Angkor. Reluctantly, I and about 300 others made way for the lake infront of Angkor. The dawn of a new day is usually brought in by the soothing sounds of calm, perhaps the chirping of a bird or two. Here however, it was the sound of a million shutters going off all at once, the clacking of tripod legs hitting each other as many attempted to hold onto what precious little space was left without a selfie stick making it’s way into shot.

Chain Reaction #7

On the outskirts of Tokyo, lies the port of Keihin Industrial District, where a handful of small islands house these gigantic plants and factories.

Looking at these monsters up close absolutely blew me away. Some of the structures look like they were designed by H.R. Geiger, or are straight out of Blade Runner.

Land of Smiles

Watching some traditional Thai dancing in Siam, Bangkok.
Had to deal with some pretty tough lighting but luckily there was another photographer nearby who was happy to lend me his reflector for a few quick shots.

The Veins of Bangkok

Overlooking the sheer insanity that is the multitude of snake like highways intersecting in the centre of Bangkok, Thailand.

Shot from the 83rd floor of the Baiyoke Tower. The tallest building in Thailand.
