Someone invented a flexible lens that goes into your eye and corrects your vision. AMAZING!

OK sarcasm aside, it sounds like this is kind of a permanent replacement for contact lenses or something? I'm no optometrist and I don't even play one on TV.

Wish I could get my eyes fixed to work like they did when I was 20 or so, though!
An optometrist in British Columbia claims to have invented an easily implantable device that provides its wearer with vision "three times better than 20/

Took me a full work week fooling with contacts every day til I got used to it. Doesn't bother me at all anymore.

With the exception that this is surgery I'd be all over this, depending on cost and FAA approval. The surgery part concerns me because of the risk of permanent starburst effect at night from the scars.

Good Witcher deed of the day.... helping an old woman get her frying pan back from the fellow she lent it to. What a hoot this quest was; I need to extend my 'Share' buffer on the PS4 because by the time I was done the quest set-up had scrolled out of the save buffer, and listening to this woman going on about her pan was a hoot.

I kind of got lost. I found the silver monocole and read the burnt letters and the not-burnt letter. The silver monocole says it's part of a quest but I don't have the quest yet so I'm in a holding pattern.

In case any of my PS4-owning friends want to throw their hat into the ring...
Today, Valkyrie Entertainment and San Diego Studios are happy to announce the launch of our new Private Access for GUNS UP! exclusively on PlayStation 4.

Cheesy headline FTW FTL but Spotify Running sounds pretty cool. On the other hand I don't know that we need clips from Comedy Central in our Spotify client.

Yeah I definitely think adding podcasts, news reports, comedy routines and other stuff as "audio shows" makes a lot of sense. It's when they start trying to replace YouTube that I think they're off-track.

Quick video showing a pretty darned easy fight.

I've solved the tiny text problem by enabling Zoom in the PS4 settings. It makes reading in-game lore so much easier. Still wish I could just change the text size though.

Other than that, really having a blast. Still in the starter area and probably will be for another evening or two. Big game!

After this bit I did the haunted well quest in the starter area. If you take your team and examine all the clues and stuff, it tells a sad tale. If every side quest is this interesting I'm going to be very happy!

So far my only complaint about The Witcher III on PS4 is that the text is pretty small. I have to put my glasses on to read some of it. Otherwise pretty happy so far!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2 is hitting Netflix on June 1st June 11th, which seems notable just because it's so soon after the season ended.

This season is way better than the first. It has a kinda rough spot for an episode or two in the middle but ends really strong. I'm really eager for season 3!

VR fragmentation is going to be a big problem for a while, I think.
The perks that come with "foveated rendering" are interesting but will the install base be large enough to make it worthwhile for developers to support it?

Got my email about transferring my PC ESO content to my new PS4 version.

It happens (for me at least) on June 1st, so get everything in order before then.

Also Crowns don't transfer but items do so if you're not going to be playing on PC any more it might be worth spending those Crowns on something you'll be able to use on console.

===============
Thank you for purchasing The Elder Scrolls® Online: Tamriel Unlimited™ for Console with account copy.

Your account will be copied from PC/Mac to console on June 1, 2015, at 10AM EDT. Shortly after your account is copied from PC/Mac to the console of your choice, you will receive your digital game code for The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.

In preparation for this transfer, please take note of the following:

This is an account copy. Once the copy is complete, your PC characters as well as your console characters will not share any items or progression. They will exist independently of one another.

All entitlements will carry over, including Imperial Edition and Explorer's Pack benefits.

ESO Plus membership status will not carry over. You will need to re-enroll in ESO Plus on your console.

Crowns will not transfer from PC/Mac to console. Any crowns left in your Crown Balance will remain on your PC character. Any items purchased with crowns will transfer to the console version.

Besides crowns, the following will also not transfer: Mail, Guilds, Guild Banks, Friends List, Ignore List, Leaderboards, and Campaign Status.

Upon completion of the account copy, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Customer Support team will be unable to restore any characters or items that may have been deleted from the PC/Mac account prior to the transfer.

If you have any questions about The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for Console with account copy, please visit help.elderscrollsonline.com.

- The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Team

Missed out on a live game tournament stream when you were at home, but want to catch up when you're on the road? As of now, you can. Twitch is pushing

I was sad to find that Sony's new accessibility options don't all work unless the developer makes a point of supporting them. It's obvious that would be the case in retrospect but I never stopped to think about it.
Sony added accessibility options to the Playstation 4 in Software Update 2.50 but I've never needed them until now, when I learned a harsh lesson. Developers need to support them in order for them to work.

Definitely not New York style pizza. The crust is thick, dense and completely flavorless. The toppings run right up to the rim of the crust in an attempt to cover up how mundane it is. It reminded me a lot of something from Papa John's or another chain. It wasn't actively bad or anything and if it hadn't been advertised as "New Yorker" pizza I probably wouldn't have been so disappointed. I grew up on Long Island and am still in search of pizza like we can get anywhere up there. I want a crust that 'bubbles up' and browns around the rim but is thin in the middle so you need to fold your slice in half to keep it in check.

Took my truck in for a scheduled service. Actually let's back up, I made my appointment via an online form, which I appreciated. Pulled up into the service bay, a gentleman greeted me, led me to his station and took all my info (my first visit to this dealer so he had to find my vehicle in the computer). Then he showed me to a clean, comfortable waiting area with free WiFi, coffee, tea and bottled watered. Said it'd be about an hour. Almost exactly an hour later my phone rang. It was him telling me the truck was ready. Went back to his desk, got my paperwork and off I went. Bonus: they washed my truck for me. My last dealer would give me a coupon for a free wash at some car wash a few miles away. I can't comment on pricing since my vehicle is still covered my ToyotaCare (my bill was $0.00) but I couldn't be more pleased by the way I was treated. Will definitely be using these folks as my dealer from here on out.
