Lola and I went for a hike in Umstead Park over the weekend. Was a gorgeous day. I really like this one shot of all the fallen trees in different states of decay. Guess these woods have been around for a long time...

Some runner cut across it while we were there so I guess it isn't toxic. Not really deep enough for swimming though. He never went past his knees. That's plenty deep for Lola though. :)

Really looking forward to watching this game shape up over time.
The guys with green circles around their feet I'm not controlling. The orcs with the red circles are the bad guys and the two with the blue circles are my party. You can see the skills listed across the bottom in a hot bar, and above that, when a playable character is active, ...

I spent 20 minutes trying to remember who was playing the alpha and had a post I noticed on Google+ before work. LOL

Then I just decided to go to Google+ and scroll back a day.

Thanks Pete!
I already had box on iOS but haven't used it in a long time. Just logged in and checked my account and it showed 50GB.

Javascript fun

Tearable Cloth

This is my new stress ball. I know we've seen this awesome #JavaScript with slick physics demo many times before, but c'mon, it's still fun to shred.

Lola went for a swim then rolled around in the sand. When she was done she looked like some kind of zombie dog. SCARY!

Really enjoying my new phone (the LG G3) and in particular the camera. With my old phone, the ancient Galaxy Nexus, the camera seemed to get steadily worse as the OS was updated, to the point where it was useless unless you subject was completely still.

Now... MORE PICS OF MY DOG! lol(a)

Congrats! The LG G3 certainly is the best you can get right now.

Love the model too. ;)

Set your DVRs... Klondike, starring Jon Snow [may not be the actor's actual name] starts on Discovery tonight. It's a 3 part mini-series, running tonight through Tuesday.

My library has faster Internet then me and they're on a cable modem. I envy google fibre... and local municipalities that install their own in defiance of mega powerful and politically influential Big ISPs like Verizon.
Winter is coming.

Definitely not New York style pizza. The crust is thick, dense and completely flavorless. The toppings run right up to the rim of the crust in an attempt to cover up how mundane it is. It reminded me a lot of something from Papa John's or another chain. It wasn't actively bad or anything and if it hadn't been advertised as "New Yorker" pizza I probably wouldn't have been so disappointed. I grew up on Long Island and am still in search of pizza like we can get anywhere up there. I want a crust that 'bubbles up' and browns around the rim but is thin in the middle so you need to fold your slice in half to keep it in check.

Took my truck in for a scheduled service. Actually let's back up, I made my appointment via an online form, which I appreciated. Pulled up into the service bay, a gentleman greeted me, led me to his station and took all my info (my first visit to this dealer so he had to find my vehicle in the computer). Then he showed me to a clean, comfortable waiting area with free WiFi, coffee, tea and bottled watered. Said it'd be about an hour. Almost exactly an hour later my phone rang. It was him telling me the truck was ready. Went back to his desk, got my paperwork and off I went. Bonus: they washed my truck for me. My last dealer would give me a coupon for a free wash at some car wash a few miles away. I can't comment on pricing since my vehicle is still covered my ToyotaCare (my bill was $0.00) but I couldn't be more pleased by the way I was treated. Will definitely be using these folks as my dealer from here on out.
