Police propaganda pollutes peaceful Portland protest!

The Portland Police Bureau is weaving a narrative that the protests are violent, with deception at the core. Here's my firsthand account from Friday night.

The Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees elections are over -- and three of my top picks won! This is an important moment for Wikipedia and the Wikimedia projects. One of the clearest differences among the candidates was around how to best engage the volunteer community in governance issues. I am delighted to see three new trustees who clearly opposed the disastrous rollout of the Superprotect feature, and who bring strong expertise in working effectively with the many Wikimedia volunteers. Congratulations to Dariusz Jemielniak, James Heilman, and Denny Vrandečić!
