Why is US Army phasing out sit-ups? Back injuries! According to Harvard Health Publication-https://goo.gl/HVoAWb, doing sit-ups exercise causes you to push your curved spine against the floor and over develop your hip flexors muscles. Psoas, one of the hip flexor muscles, is connected to lumbar spine. Imagine having the psoas hip flexor tugging your lumbar spine 24/7, eventually your spine wears out. Exercise program prescription that are not balanced can hurt more in the long term. Seek a certified fitness trainer or a personal trainer for help.

Portion control is a big thing in losing weight. Even if you are eating chocolate candy diet, you can still lose weight. The key is having enough willpower to limit quantity of calories you consume. Prof. Mark Taub's Twinkie Diet, experimented with the junk food snack, was successful in losing weight. He restricted him to under 1800 calories daily of the sweet roll for 10 weeks.

However, feeding just on convenience store snacks is not recommended for weight loss. Snacks lack necessary nutrients for our bodies.

Mommy Weight Loss - Miranda Burrell is a weight loss success story. After giving birth to her sons, she began to put on weight. After her 13-year marriage ended, she decided to focus on her health and fitness. She participated in a program offered through a The Marilyn Denis Show and she lost 30lbs in 4 months. Through the weight loss, she boosted self-confidence and energy and became more motivated to take care of herself.
