Wrong. A new study shows that in non-human mammals (and likely in humans), sleeping brains literally "wash" and "cleanse" themselves of waste products, including Amyloid proteins. Does Amyloid protein ring a bell? It should. Buildups of Amyloid "placques" cause Alzheimer's.
