Peppercorn’s Grill and Piccolo Arancio are owned and operated by the Cialfi brothers Sal and Dino. They purchased Peppercorn's Grill in 1989 and they, along with younger sisters Tina and Rosa opened Piccolo Arancio in 1994. This generation of Cialfi's has added modern creativity and personality to traditional strengths of their Italian upbringing.
Sal and Dino were trained in the art of Italian food at their uncle's restaurant in Rome. When their uncle felt that the two brothers education was complete, he helped them open their own restaurant in Rome, Piccolo Arancio and became internationally acclaimed within their first year. Now operated by their cousins, Piccolo Arancio remains near the Trevi Fountain in Rome.
Both restaurants produce award-winning cuisine and continue to receive high honors and awards.

This is the second time that we (party of 4) chose Peppercorns as a restaurant before going to theater. This is also the second time that we have been very happy with both the food and service. Last night our waitress, Maureen, could not have been more attentive and the food, ranging from a seafood salad, a lobster bisque to Chilean sea bass and Osso Buco was uniformly considered excellent. We will be going back.

Hi Simon, Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us such a thoughtful review. Sounds like you had a great experience... I'm very happy to hear that. If I can ever be of any assistance.... feel free to reach me directly at Sincerely, Dino Cialfi

Came here for dinner with family and we enjoyed our appetizers over the dinner entrees. A bit pricey but worth it for a nice meal once in a while. Waitress was pleasant to deal with it, great mannerism and quick. I wish we had more on the plate for each order.

"always a good decision! recently dinner after festival of trees and traditions at the wadsworth. delicate calamari a spicy cucumber rémoulade, a festive ""holiday tree"" salad adorned with pomegranate, homemade ravioli all 'arancia ricotta/spinach sauce of fresh orange, sage, butter and parmigiano reggiano. great specials! --often squash or pumpkin ravioli in brown butter sage a favorite. mmmmm"

The experience was disappointing; on the positive side the food was very good but the foyer needed to be cleaner; the restaurant was cold and service was not good until I served myself and my husband water since no one was coming forward to help us. The bread arrived cold and with one plate for the two of us. We were also almost initially seated at a table next to chairs piled up on one another. Grudgingly, the host allowed us to sit in another room and eventually we had a very pleasant waitress and dessert on the house because of the way our evening began. I would say the evening ended on a nice note but I would not rush back to what used to be a favorite restaurant.

All restaurants have their "off" nights but Peppercorns usually is on, any issues just ask for the manager on duty or Dino himself, they'll make up for it

a great place to go before events at the bushnell. servers are always very aware of guests' needs in that regard. food is always good, with nice seasonal specials.
