We have been coming to Pelican Cove for almost 7 years. This is our first stay after the renovation and we loved the modern, sleek and clean environment. Several water activities to choose from and you can fish right there. Staff is friendly. We will coming back.

FAMILIES- STAY AWAY! We stayed at the Pelican Grove Resort on April 24th and 25th, 2015, and were horrified. The resort advertizes itself as a place for families, but there was a frat party with dozens of young kids, open drinking (some of it underage), sexual behavior, and yelling/screaming throughout the resort until 2:30 in the morning. Management admitted to us that they knew who they were providing accommodations to. Do not bring children here.

We stayed in this hotel for a one night stopover from Texas to Key West, 2 days before New Year’s Eve. The hotel was still undergoing a massive renovation, it seemed that they had been in a hurry to fix certain things for that busy period of the year but was still a building site therefore some fundamental services were not functioning well. There was a huge power generator placed underneath our room that which was not just noisy all night but emitted gas fume and burned diesel smell preventing us to use the balcony or open the door. After complaining at the reception the lady (not very polite or helpful) said that the generator was required to operate the bar area and would be turned off for nigh, which never happened. There is an on demand electric water heater under the bathroom sink which randomly works so having a hot bath is out of question as the performance is sufficient enough to heat the water volume required. The double queen room is extremely small for 4 people and there is no table either. The breakfast was more like a snack than a breakfast, no water or bread was offered but cereal bars, dried fruits with nuts, some muffin, frozen boiled eggs and pickled vegetables. I am sure that this place would be nice and picturesque when finally ready, however the renovation looks cheap and the place is massively overpriced. I will stay somewhere else next time.

We just stayed here last week and it was a great vacation nice, clean and convenient hotel staff could be a little friendlier and helpful would be the only complaint. Boat slip, suite, beach and pool where all good. Nice place to stay!

Great getaway, clean quite facility. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the view. Rooms a bit small, check in staff was very helpful. Free breakfast. Lots of activities included, but no swimming beach and small pool are the only things made me give this a 4 star.

First room had no AC and the suction vent was leaking water all over the floor.. All the women at the frunt desk were VERY nice and upgraded us to a king suite at no extra charge. The newely renovated rooms look great but Showers have low pressure and water doesnt get real hot.... Over all i like this place but for us personally next vacation we want something with a full kitchen and a little less $$.... Eating out everyday gets exspensive (we are a young couple who save up $ for a vacation) Eating out a few days is a must though .... Breakfast- The turtle inn & Robbies are amazing. Lunch/Dinner -Islamorada Fish factory, and Lorelie has great food and amazing sun set views ... we also do fishing charters with Bamboo charters... They have been here for 20+ years and WILL get you on fish.... I would recommend this place to a friend but i think for us, we will rent a home or condo next time.

The staff at the check in desk was extremely rude and VERY unhelpful, I dont understand why a hotel would continue to employee someone who wasn`t at least hospitable and nice, they are the first impression a guest sees when entering this place. Then after the trip was over and the bank card used to pay with was over charged by $250.00. I called back to the hotel and got the same rude woman on the phone and she refused to give me a reason for the extra charge, so I had to dispute the charge at my bank and got the problem solved to my satisfaction. I would NOT reccomend this place for anyone!!!
