If a baby tooth is lost too soon, it can lead to crowding of adult teeth, which can negatively affect bite alignment. The bottom line is that you should care for your child’s baby teeth as if they were adult teeth to help them get a healthy smile that lasts into adulthood. #DentalFAQ

You should buy a new toothbrush for your child every three months. When choosing the best toothbrush for your child, there are a few things to look for: 1. Make sure that the toothbrush is the right size for your child. The handle should fit in their hand, and the head should easily fit in their mouth. 2. Look for the ADA seal of approval. 3. Make sure that you buy a toothbrush with soft, rounded bristles. #ToothLove

Confused about how much toothpaste to use for your child? When the first tooth appears, use a smear of toothpaste, about the size of a grain of rice. When your child have a few more teeth, begin brushing their teeth with a pea-sized amount of toothpaste. Happy brushing! #toothlove

Even though 80% of parents say they know that children should not be put to bed with a bottle of milk or juice, a surprising number of parents still do just that on a regular basis. If you do put your child to bed with a bottle, make sure its water only. #ToothLove
