Zytiga is Most Used First-Line Treatment for Stage IV Prostate Cancer

Market data released this week shows the new drug’s share of the first-line prostate cancer market has steadily increased to 30 percent since its launch in 2011. The development of this novel new treatment was supported by PCF-funded research.

On November 8, 2011 the Prostate Cancer Foundation submitted comments in response to the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force’s (USPSTF) request to review their 2011 draft Recommendation Statement against prostate-specific antigen (PSA)-based screening for prostate cancer. Read them here:

Kiki - I'm not considering radiation.  Unless and until my doubling rate becomes a concern I am not considering any further treatment.  If doubling rate increases I will consider ADT.  Radiation is not something I will consider.  I hold a hard line on that for personal reasons.
