As the summer sun beats down on your driveway, precious oils are lost in a process called oxidation. This leads to a dull appearance and eventual unraveling of the asphalt, which invites water and vegetation to do further damage.
Sealcoating your asphalt and sealing the cracks on a scheduled basis will keep your driveway looking and performing at its best. Visit http://pavementology.com to learn more.

When asphalt is fresh, it has too much oil to fully harden. You don't want to seal your asphalt until the sun pulls some of those oils out. When the asphalt reaches the perfect cure, sealcoating will stop the oxidation process and properly protect your driveway. This asphalt was allowed 1 year to cure prior to sealing.
