I'm an online reading teacher for struggling readers. I want to know as much as I possible can about this tool, but haven't yet figured it out.

I'm trying! Send any tips you may have, please.

Retired public school teacher who missed teaching so badly I made my own business! :)

Does anybody here need other non-readers or failing readers to correspond with in kidblog, or anywhere you wish? I'm teaching a course for kids who don't learn to read at school, and it's online. I'd love to have them see other stories taken down in dictations by someone else, with an illustration by the child, or a photograph with their words. Anything! I need to get them to see that their words (even if taken down by someone else) with a picture of their choice = REAL READING! Is there anybody else out there? TIA.

This made me think of Shadow Puppet app. I just used it with 1st graders. They drew pictures and then we recorded the students talking about their pictures. So cute & so easy to use.

Sandra's books (and videos!) are especially great for teaching struggling readers. I use them constantly, even with older kids.

I want to use some of these with my struggling readers! Funny stuff. :D

Is there any way to remove the ad that pops on and stays on the screen the whole time? That's all the kids talk about! (It was an avocado in bad shape----foods to avoid at all costs!) Thanks again.

I'm so interested in many of the products I see listed. Are any available as downloads??? Or do I actually have to order from Japan? I'm sure the postage alone would be huge. Looking forward to hearing back from you. Your video channel is my absolute favorite, as an online  teacher of struggling readers. I wish I could BUY your videos and then not feel so guilty for using them constantly!

Thank you for the work you put here on the internet. If there's a way to pay for downloads, of books or videos, I'd love to know. Thank you again.

Great song for lots of struggling readers, on lots of levels. But for the VERY beginning basics: Yes, I can. Perfect!

WOW, teachers! Check out the metacognition program this incredible teacher created via the link below. Amazing! I'm pondering now how I could do this with my online students...hmmm....
Today my class was featured in an article in The Edmond Sun.  The reporter discussed our growing class brain in her article.  This has prompted questions from other interested teachers, so I’ve decided to give an update. The ...

I have a question about your high school students who are great with video, or Adobe Captivate, or Keynote, or other. Would it ever be acceptable to hire one or more to do some work for me?

I'm an independent online reading teacher for struggling readers...the ones who just don't learn at school, because they need personalized help. I'm creating a program that will be extremely inexpensive for parents who can't afford a tutor, because it's killing my soul that my specialized techniques are reserved for the kids whose parents CAN afford 1-on-1 time. I won't make money on it, as I've already spent thousands.

But I need to delegate, and would love to pay talented students (not nearly as much as the pros charge!). What do you think? Is it even legal?

Thanks for any thoughts on this!

have you tried having the kids use programs that already out there?  mindplay comes to mind and i know there are others.
as for the legality of hiring students, why would it be any different than a part time job?  as long as kids are not dealing with confidential information for other students, I would think it is legal.

The sound you say afterr "ant" isn't the short a sound that you use when you sing it. Why?

+Allen Partridge I so wish you would continue this series all the way through the product. It's the most valuable one I've found, as it truly shows BEGINNERS how to use it. I so want Adobe to be more welcoming to beginners, so my teacher friends will join me in learning it. I want to work with them on projects, but they too feel like I did a couple years ago: No true help for beginners. These are AWESOME!!!! Do more, please? You RULE!

My struggling readers will THRIVE with these songs. How can I contact a real person from Super Simple Songs? I couldn't find a website, but would love to talk for a moment.

Stellar work, so valuable.  I have so much to ask you! But won't bug you, I promise. Any chance someone could contact me?

Thanks either way. Your work is a gift that my students will relish, learn from and thrive with. I can't thank you enough. You're exactly what I've been searching for forever. xoxo

I help kids who can't read to succeed—online!
Introduction
I love tutoring struggling readers online—and it works! Kids with reading problems fascinate me, and I know how to help. I was a public school teacher when I ran into health issues and had to retire. I missed teaching terribly!

This was before the days of all the online schools, and I'm so happy that I developed my own teaching studio to tutor kids who can't read, or are failing in school because of reading problems.

All my passion goes into my teaching. It's my heart, my soul, and my life. I'm a supremely happy, lucky lady. :)

If you know a child with reading problems, you can find me at http://yourchildwillread.com

I can teach almost any child to read. I love my work, and my children sense that, and they come to care about reading too.

I teach children who fail to learn to read at school or homeschool. We work online, using Skype. I share my screen. Every lesson is based on exactly what the child needs to learn at that moment in time. In the next lesson, we review what was learned, then move on to new stories. I love it! I'm currently working on an interactive reading program for kids whose parents can't afford a tutor. I hope to make it amazingly affordable. Coming soon.
