Last night was board game night (as usual). We played a couple of rounds of Sushi Go, Tried out Cockroach Poker for the first time and finished with a game of Black Fleet.
Sushi Go was a disaster for me, I just couldn't seem to make the correct choices, but was still great fun. This is turning into a go-to starter for us after only a few games. It's fast, fun and requires the right amount of decision making for my group.
Cockroach poker was an eye opener. What looked like a simple game of bluffing and brinkmanship turned out to be a harrowing ordeal of agonising decisions and uncertainty- totally brilliant!
Black Fleet doesn't disappoint with its fantastic components and unexpectedly fast game play. It looks like the game is going to last a while but it's soon over and if you didn't get the most out of each turn you'll find yourself losing out in the closing stages. I felt I was close to winning but I got hammered at the end by superior play.
all-in-all a great evening.
