Came here after happy hour for some much needed pupusas and they were great! They have a ton of different types here and they are crazy cheap (starting at $2.50 each I think). I got some "native vegetables" pupusa (whatever that means) and a pork pupusa. Both were yummy, cheesy, and completely filling. Definitely a no-frills restaurant, but honestly...could you eat pupusas any other way?

Dr Teeth has a lot of hype but I'm not sure I agree. First, the food all tasted the same. You could argue that that's how fried food is anyways, but seriously... it all tastes identical (onion rings, fries, fried ruben sandwich --- identical). The nacho tater tots were the best thing we got by far, but barely stood out from the crowd. The drinks were OK. I got a spicy cucumber margarita (I think) which was pure fire. Not good at all. Our friendly server informed me about the shot of jameson (of course) and a PBR (of course) special for $7 (of course) which quickly became my go-to drink combo for the night...clearly nothing special. Overall I'd say this place follows suit in a general sense ... nothing special. But I think it's just not my type of bar. A long overly complicated name with dated references *check*; lots of bland fried food *check*; Jamison and PBR drink specials *check*; if you're already checked out, I'd pass on this place.

Nothing overwhelming about this place. It's pretty much on the outskirts of downtown SLC and a 15 min walk from the Salt Palace. The check-in staff was pretty rude, but they were pretty slammed so I give them a pass on that. This place follows a very no-frills design language; from the lobby to the room it's pretty much just "meh". The bed was comfortable though, I must say that was a welcome surprise. TLDR: Comfortable bed; the rest is "meh"

Really great coffee shop where they are roasting the beans in the shop itself which gives a great down to earth vibe in addition to some relaxing background noise if you are working or reading. The ambiance is relaxed and friendly. The espresso is also quite good (in my soy cappuccino). I wish I got something else to eat though (got the veggie panini which wasn't that great -- in my defense I was trying to be "healthy"). They had some other food options that sounded much better. All in all, it's a great place to get some work done, has a relaxed vibe and good consumables.

Manresa was a wonderful dining experience and my first Michelin star experience as well. I really like that although this is a 2 Michelin star restaurant, you can still wear nice jeans and a button down shirt and be totally welcome aboard (no need for a jacket). The service was wonderful, with every dish brought out in a choreographed fashion, making it as fun to watch as to eat. The tasting menu (we got the "bar bites") was exceptionally varied but had a common themes throughout. Clearly time and effort were involved in creating the menu, and it showed. My favorite dish was the salmon roe with an almond paste of sorts beneath it. Delicious! The cocktails are also wonderful. I can't see myself necessarily doing the wine paring because it is super expensive but maybe for a super special treat. This place is pricey, so expect to pay for it, but for special occasions I can see myself coming back here for sure.

Yumm Finca! We ventured out here on a business trip and I'm glad we made the trek. The restaurant has very modern decor in which foodies will feel right at home. Although it's clearly a foodie place, I didn't once feel that it was pretentious; the wait staff made us feel very welcome. We got a number of things but here are my favorites: Zanahoria de Asador (Wood grilled carrots) Absolutely bursting with smokey/sweet flavor, a must get. Paella - Great flavor and slow cooked to perfection (took 30 mins to prepare). The included chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly as well. Manhattan (drink) - Probably the best drink I had my whole time in SLC. I'll definitely be coming back here next time I'm in SLC.

So pretty much the name of this place describes what you should be ordering. Shanghai Dumplings of course! They are pretty darn good. Although I've yet to have a bad one, so I'm still holding out for that. The stir fried garlic green beans were excellent! The spicy dumplings turned out to have straight up peanut butter on top of them...wasn't a fan. The service was just "meh", but overall I was happy with the food taste and quality. Definitely coming back here for some XLB.
