Here is the chain of events to lead me to me being very unhappy:
1. Some promotion where I got 10GB of free storage ran out. That's fine, free storage is free so I can't complain. (I Do actually pay for storage. I have an old grandfathered plan where I pay $5/year for an extra 20GBs).
2. I'm out of storage. My free services will stop working (ie. Gmail, Android Backup, etc.)
3. The majority of my Google storage is taken by photos. But wait, Photo storage is unlimited no? It is at a low quality, and it didn't used to be at all, so I got used to storing everything in Drive.
4. Deleting an album DOES NOT delete the photos. I have to go through and delete each photo individually.
I've gone and deleted about 10GBs of photos from my library. Mostly old stuff or cell phone photos that nobody saw or needs. I'll be moving to posting my photos in low quality now as I decide what to do about photo sharing going forward. Google's storage plans are rather expensive and I already pay for OneDrive from Microsoft.
