I spent a week in New York last year, and I realized what a world class city is all about! I found the World Trade Memorial quite moving and quite a tribute to the lost lives there. The Americans know how to do things big! I really need at least a month in NY,NY to really do it in justice! so much to see, do and enjoy!

Here's a shot from my Cuba trip. I seldom post my landscapes but I might G+ to show some of them. They take forever to realize from my head! LOL I can work on them forever and ever and never be satisfied.

I have to agree with your observation about history. I too don't think that the 50's and 60's aren't history but my kids sure do! I think that that time period is part of our generation and therefore not history to us. It's interesting that that observation is a universal truth to those you ask. My mom still tells me that she's 18, mentally trapped in an aging body. My how time flies. In one blink you're living in it and the next blink you're part of history.

I always think conserving is a good. Why not think of the new work while gel coating and preserving the existing work. I spray coat all my photos because one day when I'm gone, someone will say, "look how well preserved that photo is". Hence, I'm sure they will same the same of your paintings, so gel coat.

That's one really heavy looking roll of paper! I'd get one of my kids to take it up to the attic.
