An iPad for every kid! It sounded like a good idea in 2013, but a $1.3 billion plan to supply Los Angeles schools with Apple tablets turned into a failure quagmire, with the school district asking for a refund.

will Apple's car have a single pedal, like it's mice have a single button?
It'll just work.
Apple is definitely working on a self-driving car project, and according to some new documents, Project Titan appears to be further along than anyone thoug

Ever since having used a laptop with touch I couldn't imagine going back. So really to me a MacBook without touch is more like the past than the future
First, I think everyone will eventually be making cloud computers. Delete me if too far off site focus.

So the future belongs to the Macbook because it can do the extra 5% over the 90% (number) people normally toss around  for chromebooks ?

Aren't chromebooks the one that made people carefully consider what their needs are?

Mashable is calling the Macbook 2015 the future of computing. Engadget says Apple reinvents the laptop again. They also say:

"I also wouldn't want to do any serious video or audio editing on the new MacBook. But it managed to do 95% of what I do in a workday without much fuss."

And that's for a Core M processor.
The new MacBook is thin, light and has an amazing display. It's the future of laptops.

I agree. A laptop without touch is outdated and unnecessarily limited. If you add to that the limited processor, memory and inability to be upgraded or even repaired then the macbook is several steps back from my macbook pro 2011. I think my next laptop will be either a lenovo Yoga or a microsoft surface which, although also are nonupgradeable or easily repaired ,at least have touch

Savile-Clarkson comparisons slammed #topgear   #jeremyclarkson  should sue the BBC for these comparisons. Perhaps the #bbc  should be listening to the vast number of licence holders and fans who pay the wages of the BBC bosses instead of being so petty.

I don't know about Clarkson having issues and needing help because he is 'out of touch with today' but this Cohen chap is obviously on a mission to destroy the BBC - TopGear was the last show we watched in real time on an BBC channel - we may as well not bother with a licence if you take away TopGear

Using a puppy as a teaching tool #education   #dogs   #greatdane   #shropshire   #nursery   #microsoft
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. All schools and Ofsted-registered early years providers must follow the EYFS, including childminders, preschools, nurseries and school reception classes. Having a visiting puppy helps us meet these standards in many ways, for example children will be able to measure her each time she visits and record her growth. Ch...

+Eli Fennell  hey Eli, sorry to jump in another thread, but I value your point of view - what is your take on smart watches? Are they valid as a device or are they a waste of money?

LOL Well maybe in a couple generations they'll be durable enough to survive clumsiness.

The Masala is run by a gentleman named John Mustafa, an old school restauranteur , one to who the customer is always right. The food served there is pretty much exactly what you want, if you don't want tomatoes in a dish, or perhaps you want it a little milder than normal, then they will oblige. We have eaten here several times, the latest with our two year old daughter who loved playing peekaboo with the waiters and ended up sitting on the floor with a plate of poppadums - even though quite a few ended up on the carpet no-one minded. The food is always well cooked, plentiful portions and very reasonably priced. Will return, probably once a month or so.
