Aw, Deb beat me with Summer, by War. A perennial favorite!

I'm all over the map on music, so here are few that are favorites for sentimental reasons, for musical quality or for a laugh. And I won't say which for each choice:

Golden Time of Day - Frankie Beverly & MazeSummertime USA - The Pixies Three
Concrete and Clay - Unit 4 + 2
Dancing in the Streets - Martha and the Vandellas
Barefoot in Beverly Hills - Grace Jones
Moonlight Saving Time - Blossom Dearie
Moonlight Feels Right - Starbuck
Summer and Sandy - Leslie Gore
It Must Be Summer - Fountains of Wayne
Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen
Wonderful Summer - Robin Ward
Summer Wind - Frank Sinatra
All Summer Long - The Beach Boys
Cruel Summer - Bananarama
Summer Song - Chad & Jeremy

I could probably go on for a while!
This is like the ultimate mix tape. So self indulgent. If you're self inclined to force your musical taste on your listeners...what musical connections can you make for the hot steamy weather we're going through right now? He...

Take a moment on Techie Appreciation Day to thank your technicians for maintaining efficiency in the workplace … and also for making awesome videos like this.

This is brilliant. An historian in Reno has created Facebook pages representing two early 20th century students at University of Nevada. I think it's an incredibly creative way to use modern technology to portray "everyday" history. Of course, in this case, it is responsibly presented. It could be a great boon to presenting history in new ways if it's handled right and if consumers make sure they know the sources.

Perhaps we'll see some creative approaches to this on G+? I wonder how someone might take advantage of Hangouts in such a situation.

Thanks for adding! Looking forward to learning some tips and sharing photos. I primarily use my iPhone 5 for photography and hope that I can pick up some "phoneography" tips here too.

Think this will bring more people to G+? I think Facebook may go the way of the airlines and just start adding fees for services, but never come out with an actual "membership fee." And I can't help but wonder if they'll try making posts less visible to encourage users to pay to promote their posts. Can't imagine why I'd pay to promote personal musings there. At that point, I might as well have a blog and promote that.

Technology is threatened here, but fortunately, it provides the means for us to register our opposition to censorship. Sign the petition while you still can. Even if President Obama says he's going to oppose it, let Congress know you won't stand for this kind of misguided legislation. Contact your Senator and Member of Congress too!

Amazing historic site that strives to give glimpse into Mark Twain's life and times, as well as his work. They offer lots of contemporary programming that honors Twain's legacies in humor, literature, satire, criticism, social commentary and more. Twain (Sam Clemens) lived there with his family for 20 years.

Capriccio is closed. The site is now a Peruvian restaurant called La Kerencya. I have not been to La Kerencya yet; the stars are for my pleasant memories of Capriccio.
