Jump on board people!  I know some small businesses holding on to old Dreamweaver websites -- it's a losing strategy!

In this study, we look at the impact of the so called "Mobilegeddon" update. This update was viewed as being a potentially very large update. At SMX Munich, G

It's nice that Google recognizes this as a scam, but Google's response is inadequate.

Thanks for the heads up Linda!

Google to Shutter CLASSIC Maps Soon - New Maps will be our Only Option - Google has officially announced Classic maps will disappear soon and will no longer be an option.  If you do local search research you know that Classic is infinitely better for local research. New maps hides info we need to see and is missing key features.

I use Classic 20 times a day when helping Google users at the Google Business forum and my Local Search Forum. I knew this day was coming, but it's going to be really difficult to deal with the shortcomings of new maps and will impact my productivity supporting business owners that have problems with their Google listing.

At MozCon last year, one of the presenters talked about Home and Hero videos -- the Hero videos being professionally produced and more expensive to make and the Home videos being relatively easy to produce and inexpensive to make.  "How To" videos can be the core of your Home video production program.  It's naturally rich in SEO!

A Big Marketing Opportunity Most SMBs & Local Consultants Miss - Google announced that "How To" searches are growing substantially. This is a huge opportunity for SMBs to focus on creating awesome "How to" videos pertaining to their industry.

Great share by Local Search Forum Top Contributor +Joy Hawkins. Original post by +Greg Sterling via +Whitespark

Attorney Jamie Clausen prepared my mother's will, advance medical directive, financial power of attorney, and health care power of attorney. All of the documents she produced were well-drafted, and Jamie was very patient and understanding in her effort to determine my mother's estate planning wishes. I attended a meeting with Jamie at the request of my mother because I'm also an attorney, and I came away very impressed with Jamie's knowledge of the law and the local probate system. Her fees were also very reasonable. Jamie also represented my mother's estate when my mother passed away. Again, she did a great job and my family appreciates her caring assistance.

I crunched the fender flare of my Dodge dually backing through a gate and after pricing the repair in El Campo and Wharton, I decided to get the truck repaired at Stephen's Auto Body. Stephen's offered to obtain the fender and paint it before bringing my truck in to minimize the time the truck was off the road -- which I appreciated! They did a great job in painting the fender and I had my truck back in a day. The only problem was that the fender was a little misaligned and there was a quarter inch gap between the top of the fender and the side of the bed. I noticed the gap as I was using the rear view mirrors on the drive home. I took the truck back the next morning and right away Stephen's repositioned the fender to match the fit on the other side. That's why I gave them four stars instead of five. They acted quickly to fix the issue and apologized for the inconvenience associated with bringing the truck back in, and I'd take the truck back again for another repair. I'm also recommending Stephen's to my sister-in-law for a spray-in bedliner.

My wife was driving to Austin for a conference several weeks ago and started having engine problems with our Honda CR-V while passing through Bastrop. She Googled "Honda dealer" and found Howdy Honda. She was able to coax the car to Howdy Honda, but she arrived after the service department had closed for the evening. The "great experience" started then because the sales folks helped her fill out the paperwork to get the car serviced and one of the salesman, Angel, even gave my wife a ride to her hotel. The "great experience" continued the next day as our Service Advisor, Effrim, kept us informed about troubleshooting the problem. Given this particular engine code, Howdy Honda could have run up the repair bill by replacing some non-defective parts. Instead, the parts were tested by the tech and not replaced because they were not defective. Turns out the last oil change was short a couple of quarts and that was enough to cause the engine issue. Oil and filter were changed and the car has run flawlessly since. Even though we live more than 100 miles from Austin, we'll be back when it's time to trade in the CR-V. Howdy Honda is an honest and highly professional dealership!

My wife and I stopped by for breakfast this morning and loved it! She had a bacon, egg and cheese taco and I had the jalapeno sausage, egg and cheese version, both with flour tortillas. The sauce selection was also fantastic. We were advised to be cautious with the habanero version, but by mixing the habanero with a milder sauce, I enjoyed some substantial heat without discomfort. We'll be back for lunch and dinner sometime soon. Outstanding, fresh tacos with friendly, fast service. Can't be beat!

My wife and I have lunch here whenever we're in Matagorda. I love the shrimp Po' Boy because of the fresh great-tasting shrimp loaded on this sandwich. We usually start by sharing an order of stuffed jalapenos -- sometimes stuffed with crab and other times with shrimp and cream cheese. My sister-in-law tried the grilled shrimp last weekend, and she enjoyed it very much. The restaurant is on the Matagorda Yacht Basin and we enjoy watching the boats on the Intracoastal Waterway and in the yacht harbor while we're eating. It's not on the beach, but it's certainly waterfront. Service has always been great and prices are very reasonable for what you get. Highly recommended.
