Hi Paul,

Here's a gist of what we are trying to do.

We have some co-ordinate information (latitude and longitudes), and a bunch of annotations for these co-ordinates on the server. We want to embed a Google Map (or Google Earth) inside our web page, which shows these co-ordinates as balloons (or some icon) and annotate them with relevant information.

We have seen videos where this is done manually (copying the embed URL into our HTML page, or open a kml/kmz file in Google Earth etc), but we cannot have any manual step in between, as this is used by end users (clients) who cannot do this. We need to do this programmatically.

We want to what is the best way to go about doing this? Also, in the future we want to update the map dynamically with live data.

Thanks in advance.

Adding the new Google Maps to your own website just got easier with the new #GoogleMaps Embed API (!

Our friends at the Guggenheim ( and SFMOMA ( are using the Google Maps Embed API to show the museums’ locations, allowing visitors to save the museum to Google Maps directly from the website. Visitors can now quickly plan their day and navigate to the museums by pulling up their saved places on any device with Google Maps.

To get started, head over to our developers page ( and embed away!
Since we introduced the ability to embed the new Google Maps, a growing number of sites across the web have been helping their visitors visualize and remember places, using maps built for them. However, we know that many site...

Trackable markers... Markers that represent a moving object? If so, you can update the position of markers, which will animate their position on the map. Just call setPosition(LatLng) on a marker instance.

Single visit, for take-out, but was very pleasantly surprised. Ordered hamachi sashimi (7pc), chirashi, and four salmon nigiri. Overall above average. Meal was worth the price (~40 CAD). Rice for chirashi and nigiri was very good consistency and taste. Hamachi sashimi was quite good. Fish was quite fresh and had good taste and color. The take-out chirashi wasn't nearly as good as photos on their web site. Maguro wasn't that good, but the rest of the toppings were. Atmosphere was clean, modern, and quiet. Lots of seats open Saturday night dinner time. Looking forward to visiting again.
