Nice to see the aging VW Passat still hold its own amongst new contenders from Toyota & Honda to name a few.

It's that feeling... the one, after a long day of hunting; where your "kill" hangs at the front of your closet. A gleam in you

I usually come here during the week and find the food to be quite good, with obviously fresh ingredients and great, unique dishes. I particularly like the scrambles. As other people have mentioned, service is mediocre depending on the server. 2 of the waitresses are fantastic, as is the high-energy waiter. The rest of the servers are almost totally incompetent, slow, with poor attitudes and no smiles. Service on a weekend is atrocious. Their system is very poor between bussers and servers on weekends. I think they just suck at training the staff properly. It's really too bad, because this would be a fantastic restaurant if they fixed the service.

Nearly always a solid choice for good eats and friendly service. I particularly like the Greek-influenced lunches, omelette and Benedicts. Could use a remodel, but charming and enjoyable.

I've been here multiple times over the last 6-months and every time I go, I wonder why I went. The food is sort of meh, the portions are small and the prices are high. I'm not sure why everyone loves this place so much, other than the ambience. Although aging, the Beach Cafe wins for being at the water in posh Carillon Point. My experiences have been for lunch and later in the evening dining. Service is mediocre, especially later in the evening at the bar. Happy hour is not very happy with the bartender who wishes she were somewhere else and seems annoyed that we sat at a table rather than the bar. After 3 or 4 experiences like this, I've written the place off. Lunch is a bit better dining experience, but the menu seems limited in scope and the food is somewhat bland to me. I haven't been there in 3-4 months, so perhaps things have changed. Definitely a great place for a date-night and they validate parking. Perhaps it's better for breakfast?
