Hello Paul!

Hope this post finds you happy, healthy and well. Just thought I'd let you know that as L&D people, we do like to get together, socialise and network with others in the field.  I have created a Meetup group called Third Place (www.meetup.com/Third-Place) and have various organisers across Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney and now....yay, Brisbane organising events.  We will have our first Brisbane event next week. Details here http://www.meetup.com/Third-Place/events/166525122/

You may know of other L&D people in sunny Brissie who may be interested to come along. All free!

Geez! How annoying having to change your programs for this. I understand that some words mean different things to everyone but isn't the ultimate aim the outcomes or the performance? I find the same reaction when I mention the words, "social", "digital", "Yammer" - it's the eye roll that annoys me and the immediate wave of the hand for its non-importance. I guess we have to keep plugging away with keeping our language so basic, so simple and fundamental that there's no room for interpretation.

So I am really interested to get peoples opinion on this.  What is an acceptable level of utilisation for a corporate trainer and how much training delivery is actually reasonable and maintainable.

How many hours a week should a trainer deliver Face to face training? What is a manageable, reasonable and maintainable number of hours a week in which a trainer can deliver face to face training, and does delivering very high hourly levels of face to…

My answer is ZERO - they should be facilitating and mentoring and not in the classroom at all!
