You Can Lose Weight by RELAXING.

Stress plays a huge role in weight gain. Want to learn more?

This FREE four session webinar series focuses on how you can develop strategies to help you manage stress better increase your relaxation response so that your body spends less time in fight-or-flight mode.

You can hear from best-selling author John Gray, leading fitness expert Clark Bartram, two-time World Champion fitness athlete Sylvia Ferrero, and myself. Each speaker will take on this topic from a slightly different angle, and mine is, of course, hypnosis.

Looking for a new service to offer at your practice? There seems to be a need here:
A new poll conducted for Common Sense Media finds that teens -- and many of their parents -- have a hard time unplugging from their mobile devices.

"The ability to look upward on signal while closing the eyelids (Eye Roll Sign) correlates highly (73.9%) with hypnotic trance capacity as measured by the Hypnotic Induction Profile in 2000 consecutive psychotherapy cases. In practical clinical terms this implies that in about five seconds the Eye Roll (ER) sign predicts hypnotizability in three out of four cases."

You couldn't ask for a simpler way to assess hypnotizability in your clients. When I was trained as a hypnotist, this method was mentioned only in passing.

Hypnotists, do you regularly assess hypnotizability with this technique?

The topic of subliminal suggestion comes up every now and then with regard to hypnosis. Here's a quick overview of the history of subliminal messaging.
People have believed in subliminal influences for hundreds of years—but the last few decades have taken a far more scientific look at these ideas

Wellness is About Having a Balanced System

When a client comes to you for weight reduction, do you ask them about their sleep? It's important to have an intake process that gets a thorough history about the client, and that should include hydration, sleep, nutrition, and key sources of stress.

If you're hoping to use hypnosis for weight reduction, keep in mind that the hypnosis plan you use could include hypnosis for these related areas, not just for weight reduction. Be honest and specific with your hypnotist about all aspects of your lifestyle and your wellness.
Researchers associate insufficient sleep with an increased risk of obesity, two problems that affect a third of all Americans.

I've often heard that a good night's sleep is important. However, I have sleep apnea and the CPAP machine I use is noisy so there is the double edged sword. Can't sleep well because of noise and general restlessness which in turn exacerbates the sleep apnea and weight gain.

Smoking Cessation  -

Don't Trade One Bad Habit for Another

The e-cigarette movement is killing people, and some of those people are children. Nicotine poisoning in children under 6 increased 1500% between 2013 and 2015, according to the study this article focuses on. Most of the poisonings are not fatal, but there is one case of a child dying.

Hypnosis can help people quit smoking, and perhaps we, as a professional community, should make a stronger push to target e-cig users. The people who have traded smoking for e-cigs are still addicted, still spending their disposable income on a product that is unhealthy and harmful.

E-cigarette poisonings in kids are rising, with more serious health outcomes than tobacco, a study says.

Agreed.I'm glad the FDA is going to regulate the industry. It may put a lot of vape shops out of business but it'll save lives.

Hypnosis Can Be a Useful Tool for Disorders

Here's a great example of how a young woman's disorder was affecting her health, but with hypnosis she was able to create the positive changes she needed.

Introduction
Welcome to my Google+ profile!

I perform as a stage hypnotist for colleges, corporate events, and high schools.  My show, "Mind Games," is a unique approach to stage hypnosis that gets the audience more involved than other stage hypnotism shows.  If you would like to get a sense of how, check out my hypnosis videos over at my YouTube channel.

In the fall of 2013 I produced a reality web series titled, "Hypnotic." It was the first reality web series devoted to hypnotism.  A camera crew followed me on tour as I visited colleges in the United States, giving a behind-the-scenes look at what my life is like as a professional entertainer.

I teach stage hypnosis and consulting hypnosis to those who want to get certified and start their own careers in hypnotism.  If you think you might enjoy a career working full-time as a hypnotist, drop me a line and let's talk about it.  I'm always happy to share with people who are truly interested in hypnotism.

When I'm not performing, I consult with clients as a personal coach.  I believe we all run some version of "software" in our minds, and sometimes we need to update that software so that we can run a better version and get better results.  I help folks do that.

I am available for interviews on hypnotism, personal development, and entrepreneurship.  If you would like me to be a guest on your radio, TV show, podcast, or Hangout series, please contact me directly.

If you circle me, I want to share content with you that enriches your day.  To that end, I hope you will drop me a quick line and say hello and tell me which of the following areas interest you, as they are the ones I most often post about:

Hypnosis
Wellness
Personal Development
Food
Business/Entrepreneurship

I made my first home purchase with the help of Northpoint Mortgage, and I also re-financed that same home with Northpoint's help. Karen Lagasse consistently goes above and beyond in her service. She is always prompt in returning phone calls, she takes all the time you need to explain things, and she is thorough in covering all the aspects of the lending process so that things get done properly. I found a lot of people are out there making claims about all the things that they can do for you when it comes to getting a loan, but many of them just want to sell you a loan. They don't necessarily care about whether that loan really puts you in a position to succeed financially and protect your purchase. Karen and the folks at Northpoint aren't like that. They do their best to get you a loan that's right for you. The buying process can be overwhelming and stressful. You just want to feel safe. You can trust these folks. Use Northpoint Mortgage.

I have worked with Anchor Line on three different occasions, all of which were projects for my own business. The work, in each case, that was done was outstanding. Adam is super easy to work with, has a wonderful attention to detail, and delivers on whatever he says he's going to do for you. I will continue to think of Anchor Line as my first option for any video production work that I need in the New England area.

My wife and I discovered Sara Thai about two years ago, and it's a regular stop for us. The food is fresh and always promptly prepared. They have the best pan fried dumplings in the seacoast. Usually I develop a favorite dish or two at restaurants that I frequent, but at Sara Thai I just keep trying new dishes because I'm amazed at how much I enjoy them all. The food is so good there, in fact, that we have almost stopped eating Chinese food completely.

I've had memberships at the Works and Planet Fitness, and those places are great in their own ways, but Seacoast Kettlebell is something special. They have the best instructors I've ever worked with. There is a really great atmosphere there. People are friendly and supportive, and there's a contagious energy from all the people who go there to work hard at being healthy, yet there's no pressure around that. The instructors are so good about helping you learn how to do things, and they balance pushing you to get a little more work in while always making sure that you're okay and you're not putting yourself at risk. There is a range of participants at Seacoast Kettlebell. Some folks are out of shape and trying to get themselves going again, while others are in amazing physical condition. Everybody is encouraged to adjust the workout to what's best for them. Be prepared: Crossfit is a serious workout. It kicks my butt every single class. But with so many good people around me there, I want to keep coming back and do better each time.
