After the remarkable end product of our solar water pumping system produced by engineers at Ball Aerospace and spending time with engineers from all over the world at the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Conference in Montreal, I believe even more strongly in the transformative potential of experienced designers in corporations around the world developing a whole generation of disruptive innovations to help end poverty.

I had a great time recently at the opening panel of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in Montreal. I was amazed by the deep interest on the part of the engineers, corporations, and scientists in how they could use their skill sets to make a difference. Heres a 3 minute video interview made by the conference organizers which summarizes what I believe in:

I am very excited to be heading to India with my daughter Laura and grandson Ethan to visit our various projects in the field. We will have an opportunity to expose Ethan to village life just as I did with my three daughters on numerous occasions as they grew up. I am very excited for the trip!
