He Guys,

I work with a local life insurance firm in Uganda and I'd like to create an online tracking platform for insurance claims. The platform needs to communicate with the QR codes updates.

Basically the we have the QR code reader, handled by the claim handler alone, which communicates with the website (client's account/ tracking number). The different steps in the claim process are known by the website and code reader but not all the steps are shown to the client, just the most important ones.

I want to integrate either QR codes into the the whole process so that the claims department & client can have visibility on where the claim is and what needs to be done.

This wa a random thought but i was thinking that we have the code pasted on the claim file, when it's delivered to the various responsible individuals that are meant to clear it do their job, they work on it and the claim is scanned onto the next stage by the claim handler (the person responsible for delivering the file to the next authoriser).

In doing this we cap #1. Bottlenecks of claim process #2. The authoriser can't be the same person that scans the document thus no cheats. #3 The client can view the status of their claim online without having to spend airtime calling and emailing about "when are they getting pad."

My idea is based on the fact that large corporations use QR code/ barcodes to track inventory and sort it easily without the cumbersome activities of manually updating stock.

Anybody with how this can be done for a life insurance claims department.
