scary indeed

The New Orleans Advocate recently published a shocking story that details the very real threats to privacy and civil liberties posed by law enforcement access to private genetic databases and familial DNA searching.

A blog post  I wrote on the DevOps Audit Defense Toolkit, and steps towards Compliance as Code
Infrastructure as Code is fundamental to DevOps. Automating the work of setting up and maintaining systems infrastructure. Making it defined, efficient, testable, auditable and standardized. For the many of us who work in regulated environments, we need more. We need Compliance as Code.

In case you missed it, an official Alpine Linux image is now in the Docker Hub registry! Check it out at https://registry.hub.docker.com/_/alpine/. Build a nginx frontend server in only 8 MB or a MySQL client in 16 MB.

Nice collection of FLOSS projects for EE's, including SCADA.
You'll have to click several times for each project to get past sourceforge to the real project site. I'm sure most of you know the dangers of downloading from SF: http://blog.gluster.org/2013/08/how-far-the-once-mighty-sourceforge-has-fallen/

UCF O didn't show up. With more rest for D, and 10 more minutes TOP, it would have been different. But we didn't play our game, and our D got tired. Worst execution, especially dropped passes in addition to missed throws, I've seen since 2011. And we've played a lot of top 10 (let alone 25) over those years. As someone said in the 2nd quarter, "flashes of UConn and Temple" (blown coverages and other fundamentals).

Are you a person who: Enjoys disrupting traditional System Administrator practices/mentality to gain efficiencies through fostering a culture of automation? Understands the importance of 'DevOps'? Loves the challenge of automating anything that involves manual intervention?

If you use Duo Security for two-factor auth, you may be interested to run the Duo AuthProxy for NetScaler, VPN, etc., in a container.

I've created https://github.com/jumanjihouse/docker-duoauthproxy to provide the AuthProxy in your choice of userspace: +CentOS , +Ubuntu   or Alpine Linux (thanks +Andy Shinn for the gliderlabs/alpine base image!)

The container is built and published automatically based on a functional test harness that runs on  +wercker

Nice to see the Alpine Linux space savings in the wild! We're actually going to make a push to get our image in the official library so you might be able to do "FROM alpine" in the future :)
