LOVE
A wonderful sight, but wouldn't it be uncomfortable to sit in?

Not entirely sure I understand the need for a profile view count, outside of maybe dating sites and narcissism.

That being said though, it is kind of interesting to think my profile has had over 1.1M views.

Ohh, this explains it a bit more. I was on the same page thinking I was somehow really popular without my knowing, like some crazy two-way mirror Truman Show thing.

I'm going to miss being able to sunbathe, on a boat, with wine and the paper, in the middle of the day.

I was definitely born to be richer.

I wonder if this "church" in Hackney Wick realises it sounds more Harry Potter than holy...

Does the building on the left (of this place of worship) happen to be no.9 ...and the building on the right no.10 {}^__^}

Perfectly designed for the lunch time rush. Huge choice of to-go sandwiches, salads and snacks, plus a well-thought out queueing system. There is also a full grocery area and department store, should you need anything else. Clean, tidy and always fully stocked.

Vast restaurant with no soul or character. Was initially impressed with their service _ with a well managed queuing system for a busy Friday night, but that's where it ended. First, a 20 minute wait to order, despite calling the waiter several times. Then, a one hour wait while watching other tables arrive, order, eat and leave. When chased, we were just told there was a delay. Left without eating, never to return.

Great little spot just by Victoria station. It's pretty small, so can be touch and go getting a table, but they do have outdoor seating in summer. I'd recommend the humous served on sourdough bread - really tasty and a considerable portion for £5. The stairs down to the toilet are not for the faint hearted, or the big boned!

Loved it. Decor, service & food were all great. Called in at 2pm and was surprised to have no wait for a table. The chicken burger was delicious AND is on the all day menu for only £7.50. Looking forward to trying the breakfasts soon.

Hands down the best brunch place in Whitechapel – the area has long needed a cool, trendy, east-London-vibe place like this. Great coffee, although don't expect a large cup, portions are small and strong. At night time, it serves up sourdough pizzas (which are delicious), but just pizzas, no salads or sides. A new manager is planning on shaking it up a bit though, so watch this space.

Another great addition to Hackney Wick. Right on the canal, it has a great outdoor area over looking the Olympic park. Tasty food and cocktails, plus live music most weekends. My only criticism is I wished it had a late license - things finish up at 11.45. Fantastic for a daytime visit though.

Update I gave Elliot's a second chance and the staff were actually more rude than during my first visit. I'm genuinely amazed by the service this place seems to think is acceptable. Neither myself, nor the three guests I was with, will be returning. Popped into Elliot's for a coffee around 2pm and all seemed well until I told them I was sitting in and not taking away. The barrista actually said 'oh, are we doing that now' - safe to say not a great first impression. Maybe it's telling that Monmouth a few doors up had a giant queue and Elliot's didn't. Besides that, the coffee was nice - although not the best I've had considering the price (£2.50) and the decor is great - exposed brickwork and lots of wood.
