If you think about it, humans have been harvesting energy from falling moisture for centuries -- but up until now, nobody has really figured out a way to gather energy from water that's traveling back up into the air.

The Iron Curtain was an 8,000-mile border separating East from West during the Cold War. Something unexpected evolved in the “no man’s land” that the massive border created. In the absence of human intervention and disruption, an accidental wildlife refuge formed. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, conservationists from both sides of the divide realized this

I wanted to see how daily patterns emerge at the individual level and how a person’s entire day plays out. So I simulated 1,000 of them.

According to how your brain works, the dancer will either turn clockwise or counter clockwise. If she turns clockwise, then you use predominantly the right side of your brain and you are more than likely right-handed.

One of our favorite places to eat. I usually go for the pulled pork sammy the "real way" with dirty rice on the side. The place feels comfortable, if you want to watch sports, they have a couple of tvs going in the bar area, if you don't they have seating out of view of the tvs. The fam enjoys drawing on the craft paper tablecloths. Wait staff has always been friendly. To be honest, there aren't a lot of choices for bbq in the area, but on a recent visit from out of town, relatives wanted to come here because they remembered how good the food was.

We've been bringing an older Volvo to Gary Rondeau's for a few years now after getting a referral from some friends who spoke highly of the place. The folks at Gary's actually listen to not only my description of the symptoms we've noted in the car, but walk me through the possibilities and the options beforehand to make sure I'm comfortable with the plan. They let me make the decision as to what needs to be done based on the analysis. I've never felt pressured, never felt like they replaced something I didn't need, and I've felt like I was made to feel like a partner in the effort to get the car back to where I wanted it to be. I've had Gary more than once let me know that a certain procedure did not need to be done now but would likely need to be done in x number of months. All the mechanics I've dealt with come across the same way Gary does: competent, friendly, and invested in getting the car back on the road in a way that meets my needs. Gary's daughter Melissa runs the office and is a joy to deal with in the phone and in person. As I picked up my car with 281K miles on it tonight after they did some work, I reflected that in comparison with other places, I feel like I'm treated like someone they know rather than a number...and that, along with a working car, makes a big difference.

Hard to beat their queso sauce, especially on the nachos. This hits different taste buds for me than Chipotle...I enjoy them both but choose each depending upon my mood, so I enjoy having both around. I've found the folks friendly here, everyone in my group can find something they like, and they never run out of the unsweetened ice tea.

Stopped by for lunch today and sat in the gallery for the first time with a view of the tanks imported from Italy. Ordered the burger with fries. It was done just right, and although it wasn't a monster burger like you might find at some other locations, it was just right and delicious. The fries seemed home made and not like they came out of some sort of anonymous fry machine. The staff was friendly and efficient. I haven't eaten here often but we'll be sure to come back.
