A man without honor.

A trove of 1,500 works of art plundered by the Nazis has been discovered in Munich, according to a German news magazine report — a collection that, if confirmed, ranks among the most significant artistic finds of the postwar era. The cache of modernist masterpieces looted  …

Political Shaun:

I don't want to live in a world where this happens and there are not legal and/or social repercussions for the horrible things people do to victims and their families.  This is the second high-profile case where local authorities did fuck all until the Internet had a shitfit and got higher-ups involved (in the last year or so).  This is the second case I can think of when practically the exact same thing happened to a young woman, and the entire town turned against her and her family.  Because nothing sends the message that you shouldn't report a rape like bullying, ostracization, getting individuals fired, and otherwise treating accusers like dirt (or worse).

This is rape culture.  This is wrong.  And it is evil.  Pure, unadulterated evil.  To throw shame upon the people who are responsible for this disgusting behavior does not begin to cover the absence of humanity here.

And that's all I can say right now, because I'm in fucking rage fits over this.
You may have heard my story, thanks to Anonymous who trended #justice4daisy. I'm not done fighting yet.

I really love the B&W, but these are actually pretty nice.
Two colorists have combined their skills with photographs and fascination for the American Civil War to create a remarkable series of color photographs from the era.

The Tree of Hatefulness has borne fruit...
Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were shot at point-blank range in their patrol car Saturday by a man who, officials said, had traveled to the city from Baltimore vowing to kill officers.

A simple story, really.

Story about how a mountain lion attacks family dogs, and a pack mule kicked it's ass for get'n all uppity.

And I wouldn't have believed it without the picture of the mule clearly swinging the mountain lion around by it's tail.

What is interesting about the true story is that the owner of the mule (a mountain lion hunter) taught the mule to be aggressive to mountain lions by taking the mule on hunts. The mule observed the hunter kill the lions until the mule started to see the lions as prey. The mule here attacked and ensured the death of the lion only after it was shot.
