I'm just know getting by laptop back to where it was, software wise, on January 15th. It's my fault because I forgot, like hundreds of thousands of people, the the 16th was the cutoff date for Windows 8 Consumer Preview. My laptop started rebooting every 2 hours telling me to download and install the latest and greatest. Two hours was not enough time to do everything because everyone was hitting the Microsoft Store servers at the same time. Four times the download got to five minutes left and the my system rebooted. I was ready to hunt down every Windows developer and cast aspersions on every ancestor in their family tree. I was on the phone with Microsoft support for almost 3 hours and we finally got the install to work. Then came the part where I had to re-install every program I'd installed including the entire Adobe Creative Suite. Needless to say, I will never participate in a Windows Preview in this plane of existence.
