I saw Fantastic Planet and Time Masters (http://goo.gl/tT74dk) as a kid in the early 80's and it had a deep impact on me. Laloux's movies were so visually striking that 30 years later I had to watch them again. They still hold up.
Hey you! Yeah, you. I'm talking to you. Come a little close 'cause I've got something to tell you that you absolutely must hear. How was that 3:15 Sunday afternoon showing of Rio 2? Made ya want to slit your wrists and pour Tabasco on the wounds, am I right? Damn kids don't want to see that though. I hardly blame you. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're thirsting for something radically different than the animated entertainment to whi...

Right on!

A new study suggests men's beard fashions may be guided by Darwinian selection. Both beards and clean-shaven faces become more appealing when they are rare.
With the exception of a few heartbreakers here and there, beards and stubble are sexy. Don’t argue, science has already confirmed the obvious. But now, new work suggests that we may have reached peak beard. And its universal sexiness is to blame!

Having accidentally damaged a friend's car while he was out of the country I was keen to get the repair work before his return. I went to Red & Butch on the local Canadian Tire's recommendation. At the time I had two weeks before my friend's return and felt pretty confident everything would be resolved by then. What followed was an absurd series of phone tags involving being told to call back in a few days a few times. I finally got a commitment from them to bring in the car with two days remaining with a guarantee that they could deliver on time. The day before my drop off appointment I called to confirm and was told it was no longer possible to get the job done on time. Long story short, I had to scramble to find another auto body repair shop that knows how to take an appointment and respect it. Luckily, they were able to deliver on time. I do not recommend using these guys.

Having accidentally damaged a friend's car while he was out of the country I was keen to get the repair work before his return. When another auto body repair shop fell short on their commitment to get the job done on time I went to Direct Auto Collision with about two day's notice. Not only did they get the job done ahead of schedule but I got a detailed explanation of what needed to get done. Remo, third generation family owner, was even able to discern previous bad repairs that might cause problems down the line. The work itself, looks flawless to me. I highly recommend going here.
