I cancelled Netflix a few years back. After 4 or 5 years, I think I used it maybe twice? Every thing they have I either saw or ripped it for free?

The NBN company might be getting on with the job with perpetually shifting goalposts, but we're still a very long way from having anywhere near ubiquitous or economically relevant broadband for all, writes Alex Kidman. The history of the National Broadband Network, and broadband policy in ...

Turnbull.. Making poor decisions? He hasn't made a good decision, ever. What a joke. Old mate needs to hand this back and step down.
The Opposition has blamed the up to $15 billion National Broadband Network funding blow-out revealed this morning on “poor decisions” and “wrong assumptions” made by Communications Minister Malcolm Turnbull during his stewardship of the project, as the war of words between the major parties on the issue ramps up.

A startup in China hires 'cheerleaders' to motivate programmers.

According to the Trending in China Facebook page, which is run by the Chinese government's news site China.org:

"Internet companies across China are embracing programming cheerleaders, pretty, talented girls that help create a fun work environment. Their job includes buying programmers breakfast, chitchatting and playing ping-pong with them."

Wow. The mind boggles.

It wouldn't be too surprising, but Samsung could be planning to launch a Galaxy Note 5 Active with massive 4,100mAh battery sometime in November. #android

I fail to see how an Indian mining company's right to develop this joke of a project, who's business would have a negative impact on the great barrier reef and or surrounding water tables, as well as the overall project being financially unfeasible due to the price drop of coal globally.. Not to mention Adani's propaganda of "10,000 jobs", which was re-stated in Australian court to be more like "1464" jobs is classed being as bullshit green crap ?

Abbot has been sprouting figures and information from outdated reports all along the process, using his own words, he's being the spin doctor and he's just happy to get the golden handshake. His love of coal is going to damage this country more than anything else.

The main point to take away from this is the governments intent to stop groups being able to challenge such developments in a court of law, which i think is competently wrong.

+Rodney Bourne its technology that will drive the economy and the world forward, chill out dude and stop using the internet and your computer and go back to the mattress factory if that's how you feel.

The Productivity Commission also estimated it would cost $2 billion to collect the additional $600 million of additional tax revenue

That's awesome work there guys.
The Australian Government's plan to make offshore companies collect and pass on GST has thrown up more questions than answers.
