I'm joining this subset of the Building a Company community because I have years of experience in corporate and small business public relations and social media. My website is http://bernishcommunications.com
Corporate Director of Public Relations, 1982 - 1998
I was responsible for all corporate related public communications for the nation's largest traditional food & drug retailer. My duties encompassed media relations, executive speechwriting, public affairs communications, crisis communications, and management of corporate donations.
USA - Washington, D.C. - Charlotte, NC - Raleigh NC - Louisville KY - Dallas, TX
I've spent years in the field of communications, as a reporter and editor, as a government aide, and as a PR executive and counselor in crisis PR, issue management, reputation management, and organizational communications. Now I am moving into an area of real interest: managing content for clients who wish to be thought leaders in their respective fields.
I helped create and developed the content for the world's first museum-quality exhibit on human trafficking. The exhibit, "Invisible: Slavery Today" is on display at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center at the Banks in downtown Cincinnati. Earlier, I was the lead author for a seminal report on Cincinnati Public School reform -- the Buenger Report.
