One common insightful definition of AI: Artificial Intelligence is everything a computer can't do yet. As soon as it can, we call it obvious. And so, self-driving cars and devices that can beat us at chess don't really think, they're...

Someone talking sense about digital privacy/security--who'da thought it?
Privacy is good. Perfect privacy is really hard, probably unachievable. It’s not a binary thing, but a big dial we can turn up or down. So obviously, we should be turning it up.

Pretty much nails it, IMHO.
Michael Feathers. This week's quote comes with an article, to be specific, this piece by John Carmack on functional programming. There is plenty to like in the article but two points in particular struck me: A function doesn't have to be 100% pure to get many of the benefits of purity.

Great food: both in terms of flavour and portions. Service left a little to be desired, but only because the staff were trying to keep up whilst the restaurant was busy. Would definitely go back though (in fact we booked a table for tomorrow on the way out!!!).

Just had an excellent lunch here today. Food was excellent and generous portions. Even the Turkish tea was just right. Good value too!

Consistently good food and service at a reasonable price. Has been rather quiet recently, but arguably that's a good thing.

We arrived late (it was a Sunday and everywhere had shut early) but were found a table anyway. The menu was simply amazing, and everything we had was exquisite. A little more expensive than we'd normally pay, but well worth it which is what's important I guess. We'll definitely be going back next time we're in Dublin!

Food always good whatever we have (fish, sausage, spring rolls, pies, pasties), and portions very generous. Staff friendly too. Good, solid choice for when we fancy a quick takeaway tea.

Good food, and a lovely old building (though is now more restaurant/wine bar than pub).
